This is the first official release of mine really. I really hope you all enjoy.
I know it is not perfect, but I am looking for crit if you would on this first version.

Halomaps link will be up when Dennis gets it uploaded, but for now...

excuse the dark screenies but at least for me, it is not that dark ingame in the caves.

Awesome, this was pretty fun before, and it looks like you made some pretty great improvements just from the pictures.

I C u noticed what the lame main bases turned into.
I have a million MORE things I want to do with this map, but I am going to have to get aid on many of them. At least I have A base to start with and the members of UNMT to help me make an amazing v2 in the future.

Great map!
I love the ease of access all around, so close but yet so far.
I must say, this is probably one of the best map layouts I have come to encounter. Well done.

cool map i like it,it is a ltitle dark in some parts of the caves but i like that,it makes you concentrate more on watching for the enemy.

What Lodeman said, all of the areas in the map are pretty dark. Bungie made a big texture of different lights for a reason; use them in your forerunner areas.

As for in the caves, add a small structure with light coming out of it, or perhaps a hole in the ceiling.

Glad to see you all like it! I enjoyed making it. IDK how many people read the readme, but if anyone wants to, UNMT is willing to take on temporary or permanent help to make the final with newer updated weapons and tags much better. Even if you are just contributing ideas that make it to the final we would love to hear it.

Don't know if I will be able to join anyone who puts a server up today since I have a program to write for school and I have to play drums tonight at a bar jam. Hopefully I can maybe get in Monday or something.
Oh BTW my biggest issue, anyone know what the BEST way to plug up the bottom from going too far is?

I'l try to make a server today, but I can't seem to put the dedi running. and i have to finish some calculus exercises and geology lab.

IDK if I will release open sourced (at least not right away) but if you want it, I can most likely get you it, though I may still wait at least until a few weeks after it is uploaded to Halomaps to give to anyone other than people who have been in UNMT prior to map's creation.

The only reason it is protected on any site as of now is to try and stop the people that just want to get new tags in with no thought to gameplay and no concern for it's original creators intentions. People who know what they are doing and rip the map doesn't bug me so much as the newBs who want to take it and make a million versions of it with the same tags but in their own "special" (meaning retarded) way.

As I said, plans are in the making for a final with updated BSP model depending on feedback, as well as a much newer tagset. I just wanted to get a classic out so that it will get played and problems will be found and reported.

I do request that you don't release anything that you do once I give this out, but if you do release something (I can't stop you since I gave it to you ), at least protect it please.

Make it harder to camp by the teleporters with a shotgun and rocket launcher. IIRC, me and doompig held off the entire red team by ourselves just telecamping :]

Telecamping? Doesn't seem too bad of an issue if the other team isn't completely stupid. There like 3 different routes anyway.

Sorry I haven't been coming to this thread a whole lot. Anyway. I really appreciate all the praise, but hey I know there are issues. Please tell me such issues so they can be worked out accordingly. I would like to hear especially from people who played with a fairly large amount of people. BTW Telecamping will always be an issue in CE and that is why I made numerous ways to get from one place to another. If it seems that one place needs even yet another way, let me know what teleporters are prone to this abuse. Maybe I can make a non teleporter way into certain places. Gives me an excuse to work a little more on some forerunner structures.

I tried to make it as evenly laid out as possible so camping would be more difficult, but as I said, there will be issues.

Also, we have someone who will be working with us now on lightmaps and lighting issues so in the next build I can say I am not concerned about them. They WILL look nice.
