I know it's a relatively simple task, especially since all of the files are included. But could someone make this into a scenery file? I tried, and I couldn't figure out how to make it work. I also need a variant with the doors closed, if you guys don't mind.

Someone has already agreed to create the scenery tag, but if you could create a vehicular form, that would be greatly appreciated. If you can get the doors to fold up while in flight, and deploy while landing, that'd be even better. And the flight characteristics of a Pelican.

I see one problem, an albatross shouldnt be pelican like since it only delivers supplies and has to be picked up by something else like a pelican later i believe.

Due to its general design and structure, the Albatross seems to be a dedicated cargo dropship for vehicles, crates, weapons and raw supplies, rather than possessing any combat capabilities. It appears suited more towards ferrying supplies to a planet's surface once a landing zone has been secured, whereas the D77-TC Pelican has a more aggressive nature and can also function as a gunship.

So it's pretty much a Pelican, albeit bigger, slower, chunkier, and unarmed.

Not exactly, it doesnt move on its own, it just falls, like a HEV for supplies. an SDV, Supply Delivery Vehicle.

Uh, no, it flies. You can see it fly in Halo Wars, they drop off the supplies for a supply pad.
The one on Relic just happened to crash there.

Don't forget about the one in Sand Trap... also it is unknown if the one in Halo Wars is really the albatross... some people speculated it is... while others say it isn't.... so yea.... but any ways it flies

Because it is a scenery and is unpliable. Also, the creator of the model has the ramps go farther down than the landing struts for some reason. It looks better if on more of a flat surface but when i try to adjust it down to get the landing struts down, it goes out of the map and causes in error in compiling the map.

I may slightly tweak the ramps a bit so they work better on flat surfaces.

Um, that is because what you got is something best used for a model. To get the collision working, you will have to get it so there are no open edges. Right now, most of the planes are separated so only one smoothing group is needed. That is why it is only really good for a model. I had a bit of moving and welding to do, but if you know what you are doing it takes little time to get the collision model ingame. Oh and btw, you will need to scale it like 650%

Thats because of the extractor, not bungie.

This is correct. According to the latest Halo Encyclopedia:

"The Albatross is a class of heavy-lift dropship that is used to transport cargo such as vehicles and weapons. It possesses no offensive capabilities, but is sufficiently armored to serve as a makeshift base or command center"

That's how it extracts? Hmm, never been one for extracting models only in a few cases. Always wondered why that was. I really just sort of keep to custom modeling as often as I can and only take influences from previously modeled things.

Yeah, what the extractor spits out is drastically different from what Bungie put in, hence all the detached faces which give the open edge errors.
