Yet another thread concerning my sapien. I couldn't bring the other one back up to the top so i had to make another one
anyway, i did the affinity thing and it still opens and closes straghit away. I checked the affinity again and it has both cpu's ticked even tho i only had cpu 1 ticked wtf now? |

did you try reinstalling HEK? also make sure its just not the file your trying to open, open
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\tags\levels\test\tutorial\tutorial.scenario Edited by n00b4life97 on Sep 2, 2010 at 09:05 PM |

you have to check the affinity thing every time you open sapien dont you?

okay, i have tryed reinstalling HEK twice
I have a Vista laptop I changed the affinity to cpu 0 and it started up and i got some work done on my damnation sp. I got bored after a while and turned it off, came back a few mins later and it wouldn't work again but now the debug says this EXCEPTION halt in \halopc\haloce\source\memory\array.c,#130: index>=0 && indexcount I am currently trying to find the link to the tutorial site to fix it |

If you dont mind deleting all your tags delete all of them, then your debug then uninstall hek then reinstall, it might work

Yeah ofcourse i won't mind.
I (somehow) fixed that issue without losing all my tags but the old problem is still coming up in the debug. No matter how much i tweak the affinity its just not working! |

I always get it in the debug too, I think that's normal.
My sapien runs fine even with the video and sound card errors that show up. |

I finally fixed my problem. And here is how i did it. It wasn't disabling desktop composition and yes it was the affinity.
ctrl alt delete. start task manager. select new task. open sapien. go to the processes section of task manager. select show processes for all users. Right click sapien. set affinity to cpu 0. And heres the part i was going wrong. You just minimize task manager and use sapien. I was closing sapien then re-opening it and ofcourse the affinity was reset to both cpu's. Hooray! |
