In my completely honest opinion, I liked Crysis for it's graphical aspects only. (And the sharks, those were a nice touch) but beyond that, I thought the suit interface was pretty clumsy, the weapon modification system served little or no purpose, I used the same 3 weapons throughout 95% of the campaign (your default rifle, the Korean rifle [I forgot the names of them] and the pistols). I thought the a lot of the encounters were extremely hard, even playing on easy. They all ended up the same way, me charging in all gung-ho, trying to use my suit modes to help, dying a few times, then trying to sneak past, dying a few more times, then finally settling on setting up in a well defended position from really far away and trying to snipe with my terribly inaccurate rifles. Armor mode seemed underpowered, and other armor modes were useful only in extremely specific situations, and when choosing whether the benefit of throwing enemies farther or running faster outweighed the risk of drastically reduced armor, I usually just chose to stick with armor, meaning I was in for a long and boring firefight. Cloaking was absolutely useless when I used it. There was only 1 time in my entire time of playing Crysis that cloaking successfully enabled me to sneak past a group of bad guys. I thought the environment got a little boring after a while, each jungle clearing looked like the last one (Although the snow later on was a nice and interesting touch). All in all, I really only played it for the eye candy, and I couldn't even get the full effect of that when I first played it. I just finished building a new computer, and reinstalled Crysis to test it out. I can max it out completely now, and it's a great looking game, but as soon as I start to play it, it just goes downhill from there. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Aug 15, 2010 at 12:33 AM

You are right, it is hard to cloak in on people. The point of cloaking for me was to get away from people and get to new areas that they can't find me. Every other sniper shot it is good to change position. I used snipers and switched to single shot a lot. Made the game much easier in many areas. Also, about sniping. for long distance go prone, basically the lower your stance, the better your shot. I actually love the sniping in this game because of that reason. That is actually more accurate to what would happen in real life I believe also. When deer hunting I would always have a better shot when I was prone. I hated using blinds so bad.
But enough talk on Crysis. They have their own forums. Edited by eliteslasher on Aug 15, 2010 at 12:59 AM

Who freakin cares. If you don't like it, then don't play it. He isn't putting a gun to your head and telling you to play it.

Ooh, looked at some videos. Realism is pretty good. I like how 1 or 2 shots actually kills you. Makes for a game you can't just rush into like most games are.

You've got to be kidding, right? It took you that long to think you can make something 'realistic' in Halo?
Please, just stop. Video games should not be reality simulators, and trying on Halo 1 is a stupid idea.
Video games are about having fun and the aesthetics.
Aesthetic>Realism That time of the month again, huh?

Please no spamming using images, thats unneccesary and rude.
Why go for one, when you can have both? Realism AND Gamplay, you can make Halo Combat Evolved look better with new textures haha.
I can say this though about me and my past experiences with Modding and my team.
I cannot model worth a crap in any compatible software that can be used for Halo CE, but as Donut said, I have enthusiasm. I made up for what I could not, by finding those who could, and of course, the key objective, a common interest to get the wheels rolling. I dont just grab a random person and tell them to model. Matter of fact, most of the work we released was all Cody's modeling, a few of Aaron's scripts, and my input and concepts.
I want to say, most of Helipad Studios was Cody, and I thank him for that, we are still good buddie's today. He made the GTA Mods, Desert Dunes, Junk Yard (aka Junk), Codygulch, Codyfields, and just about everything else.
For a note:
Desert Dunes took 3 months for 9 concepts at various sizes to be modeled and tested. I have all of them, and each one is uniquely different, I released them all on Halo Maps, but only 2 maps were actually put out for download for some reason.

Well, I have a question to you. We had that whole argument about realism and what realism you were refering to had nothing to do really with what we were talking about did it? You were completely referring to realistic LOOKING things and not necessarily completely realistic things.

Really, You guys are going to complain over free content? Thats even more pathetic than the ripping topic. Hes giving you something for free and all you can do is complain? Maybe if Dennis made you pay to download custom edition you would be happier? All he is doing is trying to please those who like realism in their video games, it doesn't matter if you like it or not, the fact of the matter is that he is trying to do something, help or leave. If you don't care about realism, then stay out of a topic about it. And if you are into realistic games, play Quote: --- Original message by: Smmt ARMA II This game is made be the people who made VBS2,a training program for Military strategic and logistical officers, so its about as real as you get and its has tons of downloadable content like halo CE Also, this post is on topic because I want to say that I like your model : / lol Oh wait the argument is over nvm lol haha Edited by jimmy on Aug 16, 2010 at 10:03 PM

Cuz that is my dream computer.

You would never need that much for any game or program on the market now.

I've seen about 20 different pick up truck modelled by Killerkip, so it's nothing special tbh. I don't think I've seen a single one of Kip's projects really take off, so I have good reason to believe this will die pretty soon here.
