it's gonna use the v1 weapons for the AR, but the rest are new.

And there wont be any new weapons in sandtrap v2.

Btw, spike nade isn't going in, i'd rather use the plasma nade. I want to add some non-sandtrap weapons such as the plasma pistol, and a few other weapons on some locations that would seem proper, but this would mean it won't be a copy of the real sandtrap in terms of placement.

Put them in anyway, but only gametype-wise, i.e. in Halo 1, they loved to give you the plasma pistol as a starting weapon in Race.

Melees should kill in 2 hits, Spiker should be fine at 1 hit kill though because the gravity hammer has a 'blast radius' that still gives it the edge.

A sniper kills in [2 hits, fy-freakin'-i.

The spiker is a useless piece of crap (heck I'm not even sure if it's in the damn map), if you don't give it a one-hit-kill melee then no-one will use it.

Gravity Hammer is fine with it's blast radius, because you can, amazingly, slam it down with the primary fire before you're even touching the other player (which is when a normal melee would work).

Maybe because Halo 3 has a far superior netcode when compared to Halo 1 on the PC? Ever think of that?

Your shots will actually hit, and the melee lunges, etc etc and the game is designed by professionals.

1) Spiker is NEVER used in Halo 3 except by dual-wielding 11-year olds playing as Elites with incredibly high voices that teabag after somehow killing you because they were crouching around the corner and just sprayed you to death as you walked by.

2) Spiker melee should be 1 hit kill. Who cares, no one will use it anyway. Halo 1 melees are hard to hit anyway, because you have to lead them. No one will complain about it rivaling the grav hammer, BECAUSE IT WON'T.

How to make melees not require lead
1: Fix the netcode
2: Make melee speeds infinite
3: Make sure everyone who plays has a good ping.

I can't melee for nuts now. Well , I can , but it's mediocre to what I could do previously.

melees work well online. play halo for like 4 years learn how ping works. aim. boom. kill.

100-160 ping is 0.1 seconds ahead
161-300 ping is 0.2 seconds ahead etc

But honestly, are you that much of an ignorant fool? It wasn't in Halo 2 and like I damn well said, Halo 3 has a far superior netcode than CE. You can actually hit people when you aim at them, there is no bullcrap varying lead like Halo 1 on the PC.

Clearly I'm not the fool or the idiot seeing as I'm knowledgeable up the three years, have been screwing around with weapons for longer than you've been here, and have played and seen first hand every single weapon in the Halo arsenal (except for those in the retail Reach game, obviously).

There is no argument to be had, I'm only getting ungodly frustrated with you and your ignorance time and time again.

How was a 2 hit melee a mistake? If the melee wasn't 2-hit melee, then weapons like the AR would be practically useless, cause you'd need to empty even MORE bullets before you can melee for the kill. At the moment, it's around 15 + melee. If you cut melee damage by 40% into a 3-hit kill, then you'd need to empty an extra dozen rounds or so...
