hi, Is someone here could help me: I have my vehicles created in 3ds max. I exported it and Im trying to find out how to create it in .vehicle... i open the scorpion .vehicle. I changed the model, the _collision model and the physics. the only thing I did not change is the animation model cause my vehicles is not gonna have an animation... it will be like a vending machine... and I decided to create it as a vehicle to make it move if I shoot it a grenade on it. As you can see in the video, even if u dont talk french, I replace correctly the gbxmodel, physic and the _collision of the scorpion.... I save it and try to put it on sapien.... But it say: OUT OF OBJECT, cannot create scorpion.vehicle. WTF is that? I think that the problem is comming from the last onglet called: annimation. Ill dont have any animation on my vehicles, because I want to create it as a vehicle only to make a mouvable object. I dont want to have any passenger or anything else... i will be just like a scenery, but it will be able to move if I shoot an esplosive on it, or if I hit it... Just think about that, I cant put an animation on that.... I know what is your problem if you put an animation graph( just use the scorpion's) 1. download kornman00 here: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1081 because the normal guerrilla doesn't allow you to modify the checksum 2. open your animation graph and your gbxmodel with kornman 3.copy/paste the animation graph's node list checksum to replace the gbxmodel's I will pm you in french

OUT OF OBJECTS is a complex error. Do what he said and fix the node list checksum FIRST. (Vehicles cause a lot of problems this way.)

Hi,
I readed 3 time for trying to understand what he say, but without succes =( I hope you will answer me cause I really want to do this vehicles and you are my last hope.
First of all, I think that Ill need a new scorpion.vehicle... Cause last week I were trying to figure out how to create my veicles. I watched a vide on youtube, and I did what he said (replacing the model, collision and physics). After that, my vehicles were not working. Then I tought the problem were comming from the seat, so I deleted everythin and change all the value to 0... ^^' now I know that Its an error... So, for now ill use another vehicle. but, I need more explanation... cause I really dont know what you are talking about the ''node list checksum ''.......

Just load in the Gbxmodel and its proper Collision model, then remove both the animation graph and physics. If you were going to make it drivable, make it like the Ghost, and not the Scorpion.

to get the original scorpion files you just need to open bloodgulch with hek+ and exctract them.
I will try to simplify
Basically, you only need to create a vehicle with no seats because if you leave the seats there you will be able to drive your soda machine LOL.
to fix the out of objects error:
1. open your_vehicle_name.vehicle 2. you will see the open button at the right of the model click on it 3. you will see the open button at the right of the animation graph click on it too 4. now, the first line in the model is the node list checksum of your model.After,in the your_vehicle_name.model_animations, scroll all the way, you will see the node list checksum, copy it. 5. delete your model's checksum 6. paste the one you just copied instead 7. now, if you open sapien you will not get the error again

Oh nooo =( I did what you said (about the node list chunksum) and it did not worked... the error appear againt in sapien ='( WHY? Is it about the seat of the vehicle, or anything else?? And I just want to specify something: If you look at 2:24, in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aikNJ1aZ8aQArkaman is showing us how to create a vehicle, and at 2:24, he are making appear bleu and green markers... ok I understand now! you need those blue and green markers( the greens are called nodes) I tought you had imported them. If you don't have them, it will not work. To import them download the bluestreak gbx model importer here: http://ghost.halomaps.org/bluestreak/gbxmodel/GBXModel_Importer_v2-0-0.ms . and to import them you need to check "import all nodes" and "import markers" you can also import the model geometry to know where the markers go, then click import gbxmodel you will see the blue and green spheres, place them on your model Then, link your machine to frame hull and export After you have exported and saved your model re-do what I've said about the checksums in my previous post and now it should work

Cause my model ant the tanks a re really different.... And you must noticed that there must have like 4 passenger green markers, and one for the driver... but I dont whant this markers cause I dont want my vehicle to be drivable... I suggest you try with the ghost because it will be much more simple because it has less nodes and markers and it is light so you will not need to modify the physics.(if you use the scorpion, it will not move when you trow a grenade because it's too heavy) I explained with the scorpion because you said you used it in your previous posts.
if you leave the markers there and delete the seats,it will not make it driveable
import the ghost model
Before exporting,you need to delete the ghost mesh and the frame of your model, you will replace it with "frame hull" and link your model to it
the nodes and the markers(green and blue) can be everywhere on your model it doesn't matter where you put them.
after exporting, open ghost.vehicle
scroll down until you see a category named seats, delete all of them
don't forget to re-do the checksum change because when you export your model again, it overwrites the checksum Edited by kev3344 on May 27, 2010 at 03:41 PM

Ok, I will try this tomorrow. but, I am thinking about that... would it be more easy for me if you could help me with teamview ^^ if you dont know that program, its a program that allow you to connect on another one computer, via teamview... If you want, we can do it tomorrow, juste tell me when you could do it, and if you cant tomorrow, tell me when then ^^
