How do I have a particular weapon as the start-up weapon for all players (clients have same start-up weapon as server has. )

Looks simple but is very difficult.

copy pasting tag of a weapon over others in h.m.t. only shows on server, not on clients, who use original maps.

and custom game-types give not much options.

Is there any tag in map file that decides start-up weapons ? or is it in the blam.lst file ?

BTW, I need every player starting with plasma cannon or fuel-rod.

a) Globals tag.
b) Couldn't you just change the gametype?

It's in the .scenario tag. It appears to me that you're using HHT and HMT, however, to mod your map. This is a Halo Custom Edition forum, so HHT and HMT are unsupported. Instead, we use the Halo Editing Kit to create maps from scratch, or for more powerful modding, rather than dependency tag swapping.

If you're trying to change starting weapons in Halo PC, use HHT. Go to the MP_Cyborg biped, then look at the bottom at the weapon dependencies. Change that. It is joiner friendly, and it's extremely funny making people start out with no weapons, and watch them run around xD

Thanks for the help.

I've tried these options, but that works differently for different game types.

while selecting game types there are two important options:

1. generic : use generic weapon set for all maps. This usually picks up MP_cyborg's dependencies,
as default weapons. Corvette19's method works with this only.

2. custom: use weapons designed for the map. this picks up map globals tags for startup weapons.

so, I need a way to edit the blam.lst file somehow. any pointers ?

if you want change the startup weapon just open your .scenario with guerilla, at startup equipement section put your weapon(item_collection)
its better than global.global because
you can put multi weapons on one item_collection
