What happens when you want to compile a bsp, you do so, and tool brings back an error saying theres an overlapping edge see orange, and I check around my bsp, deleting all of the red and green helpers, and I can't find an orange colored surface?

Answer: Stop working in Gay Max 9.

I figured out a while ago that anything above 8 is horrible for debugging stuff like this becuase it never shows up, becuase your exporting with blue streak. Import it into 8, export it, import wrl, find it (easily this time), and redo materials and put them back on.

I'm using 2010, but okay. Worked fine so far for open edges and such, but I'm going to run it back through tool and see if it is all cleared up.

Like I said, it works fine on most things other then this. This is the one sole error that I hate to death, and when I found out it was extremely easy to fix with 8, it was just another reason I started using it.

If I use max 9, there is a 60% chance (I calculated) of the edges bordering the sky faces being counted as open edges, so I have to drag the edges down below the ground of the level, and cap them, so its like this:

which drastically increases the poly count, and even then, the edges making up the bottom face are still sometimes mistakenly counted as open edges.

Max 8 superiority :P

I needed to get the .dle from halomaps and not use the stock one provided. It has since been fixed and I am now using 3ds max 8 so I can't take anything from people using max 9 and 10 any more :(

I have both Max 9 and 10 I have yet to get any problems with max 9 as long as you model your geometry the proper way. I have yet to try max 10 cause I only have the trial version.
