Ok so i know about the version switcher and everything but dont you need the .exe's for the different versions? and if so how are you supposed to get them?

Go to your halocustomedition.exe thingy; the app you click to open halo, then right click it go to version

i use version changer to switch to 1.09ce. it says my file version is 1.0.0.609. is that 1.0?

Yes, the first three digits are what I believe you look at/for.
The newest version says like, 1.0.9.609 (whatever the rest means).
