Instead of having 1 person why not just release it all so everyone benefits?

For anyone who's interested, send me a PM with your xfire if I don't already have it. If I have it, send me a PM anyway. I'm gonna be busy til Friday afternoon, so don't expect any new developments until then. And try to keep the trolling of this thread to a minimum until after I pick the person.

I'm not gonna be able to sort through this thread come tomorrow afternoon. Just a heads up.

um yeah silent there's a boat nao? :P

the only thing is that I actually am a advanced scripter. I admit that I'm not as good as Gamma. In fact at one point we were at the same level and we would help each other figure out stuff such as errors and how to make such and such happen, the only difference is Gamma stuck to scripting and became even better whilst I still did scripting but began to move unto other parts of modding. Like modeling. (Still not a modeling GOD but im better than the average HCE modeler.)

and bo, what's so funny about elephant?

lulz bo.

I would show examples hunter, but I tend to delete the map files that i compile once i get bored of them. Though I guess i might not delete my cyborg_ai_test map.

They're enhanced AI. ATM 4 cyborgs can take down
(these are the specop variants.)
-3 grunt shades
-2 ghosts with elites in them
-4 grunts with needlers
-4 elites with plasma rifles.

and most of the time all 4 cyborgs live the whole battle. The only variable is that 1 cyborgs dies around 30% of the time.

For those who have sent me PMs so far, send me an xfire message either today or tomorrow (just use xfire just this once, even if you don't normally use it). I'll conduct a quick interview to see where you are, whether I can easily understand you, how quickly you learn, and some other small things.

So far, the highest score for the scripting diagnostic was 3 / 5. (Whoever got that, don't brag. You failed the last two :P) If you consider your best skill to be scripting, I'll give you the scripting diagnostic test. If it isn't, show me your best work. Even if you fail the scripting diagnostic, that doesn't mean I won't choose you. It's just a way for me to determine where you are. After this is over, I might post the scripting diagnostic with an explanation, so all of you can learn a bit.

You cant do recorded animations.
Only JMW animations, which you just animate in 3ds max, then export, then just compile and load through sapien.

recorded animations cant be created, but you can use the original ones that Bungie made for the campaign. File >> Import animations >> choose scenario.

You can make your own animations too, and just script them in. It's basically the same effect.

Thanks both of you, that's what I was aiming at.

I mean how to script them in RIGHT.

must export them as JMW animations. unless you want to use them more than once. IE: ODST drop-pods.

script command for the animations is:

(custom_animation )

Except that recorded animations were made in sapien.

Highest score for scripting diagnostic is 4/5. Even if I don't choose someone here, I can see what troubles people in scripting now. For future reference, variables must be initialized before use, (> x y ) is equal to (x > y), and recursion always needs a base case.

Yeah I remember learning that in my first few lessons of C++.
I'm still practicing those lessons. D:

Actually its

Custom_animation <unit> <animation_graph> <string> <bool>

Example would be: (Custom_animation pelicanlol "vehicles\custom\pelianimhere" animationname 0)

working with it right now hehee

5/5 :3 I'd rather have him teach some newb some stuff though. I just wanted to see what the problems were, it was quite funny to me. I've joined like 10 groups and no one's asked me to do anything lol so I'm pretty self-directed hehe.

Silent STRKR, send me a PM when you're online. I'll log on then. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to talk to you on Friday and Saturday. For everyone else, interviews are closed.
