Bit of an adaptation on the head, original concept made no sense to have a hole in it's jaw... Open image in new tab for full res. Took 2 days roughly as it's for a Uni assignment I left till last minute :/ again... Throned Beast. Edited by OHunterO on May 10, 2015 at 09:57 PM

It definitely looks a bit more practical from a biological standpoint. I think I prefer your take over the original.

Looks really good. 1 thing im unsure about is the teeth, they are not made for meat eating, but the "hands" are.

I love it. Although I do agree, it's weird seeing molars on a clawed animal.

Thanks, and I agree, I tried to keep them as blunt as possible as to not look to much like predator claws. Will try find some time bake the textures and normals to a lowpoly and release it. Not bad considering it's literally like 1.5 days work... was given 13 weeks to do it, left it till last minute like an idiot and just managed to blast it out! aha I actually gave it teeth too lmao, just noticed one isn't placed too good but meh, also should give it a tongue. Open in new tab to see teeth better, large photo. Edited by OHunterO on May 11, 2015 at 07:34 AM

One from concept art had a baby, baby grew into what you see above, a more evolved and likely to survive on a Halo ring :P

That's insane, dude! Awesome work! I don't mind the claws, the Iguanodon had both molars and claws iirc, so that's not a big deal

This is truly amazing ! Was it done in zbrush ? I just started recently and have to say that it's quite badass, and the work flow is much faster than with 3dsmax. I mean when HP modeling, LP, unwrapping and texturing.

Damn this thornbeast looks a lot better than mines and bungies. Zbrush is aswome software I wish I got it but I have to use sculptris instead. And I didn't knew you lived in the UK.

You know, if you're trying to make the thorn beast feasibly live on the halo rings, your next objective will be to make a flood version, if not also a flood blind wolf

Yeah it's 100% zBrush, apart from the metal platform thing aha. For organic models it is much better workflow, I just start with a sphere and pull the general shape out and work with that. Can use that model to make a lowpoly, unwrap it, project the polypaint onto the unwrap and the normals and rig. Wouldn't take long :) Damn this thornbeast looks a lot better than mines and bungies. Thanks, are probably similar, I didn't really use any fancy tools within zBrush apart from texturing it and adding fine details to the mesh using a tool which lets you use photographs.
And yeah UK, it's bad how some people in the community still know this lmao.

I will do rigging, animations and then start using the settings in guerilla. I am really pumped up for this.

Do you even know what you're talking about? Here's the original video. He's talking about the closeted gay people. Edit: In other words, you missed the point so hard. Edited by TheSenpaiModder on May 13, 2015 at 05:44 AM m9. You need to calm and think long and hard about why you are posting on halomaps when instead you could be watching cartoons, like sweg bob or shins eggy tender. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xs97WOoV6_o I think I just gave anime a likeness to cartoons.....how long do I have to live?

Well, Do they happen to have stylized art? If so then yes, they are cartoons. Just in Japanese style. Also shame on you for not posting the best part of Devil Children.
