Crysis 3!!!!!!! All I have to say. :D

Well this is one I worked on a while ago and ran into trouble with. I finally figured out what the problem was and am now releasing the first version of temple_tiot. Will be uploaded to halomaps if, and only if, there are good ratings. Please, if you try it, come back and tell me what you think.



Everything is standard weapons and vehicles except SOS's SMG.

Have fun!

BTW. If a final release comes out. There will most likely be better weapons.

Judging from the lack of SP descriptions, I'm assuming it's MP.

Yes MP. The shot in the one pic was for light. It a slightly dark map.

It's not really that much different and i am not sure if other people were involved in the making of it. I an pretty sure that he had some to do with the nightvision and animations at least. Only thing weird about the SMG though is that when needing a complete reload it doesn't reload it all the way the first time and reloads the rest. So basically it reloads 2 times for a full reload. I may have to ask him about that.

Night vision is part of the HUD, which basically isn't too hard to do. For reloading twice, open the weapon tag, and set the amount reloaded at once.

Let me put it this way. I got it from SOS so i am not 100% sure on all of this who was involved in what. Just trying to remember off the top of my head so don't hold me to this.

It's just a sort of arena styled map. Plus, I'm sure people get tired of seeing someones latest rendition of bloodgulch with a couple lame tags added here and there and the gameplay is supposed to be SOMEHOW CHANGED. LOL

I assumed, but i know he said there was a few things he modded. All the SMGs seem to look the same to me. Haven't really seen one that looks all too great except for stuff from like CMT

Actually, all the bitmaps are bumped at least a bit.

As far as scenery, I wanted to put some torches in for extra light or something, and since it is supposedly a temple, i may need like some form of altar or something.

The purpose of all the pillars was to slightly prevent cross map spawn killing from occurring.

Maybe if i go with the idea of a hole in the ceiling, i could make some of the pillars broken down too and put some old looking scaffolding as if they were going to be repaired. Maybe i'll even put some form of vegetation hanging from the mouth of the hole in the ceiling.

And i like the idea of having some sideway attached. Maybe i'll make some catacombs underneath the map.

I also think this may be a good map for a thin layer of fog on the ground.

It's really only lit by the sky from the windows. I could make the windows bigger though to let in more light.

i found this...a weird lightmap thing around the center:




looks pretty good for a first release and you some great ideas for a revision.


the only thing i'd add to your decent list of suggestions is the textures. you need a couple more...i've been accused of this before too lol but yea...maybe add a decorative band around the outside walls..i didn't realize there was a ledge there until i started toward the middle of the map..it just blends in.

and try a different detail map on the pedestals and tiles, detail cliff rock looks good on the walls and pillars, but not on everything.

LOL yeah. I would have to agree with you there. I never though to do like a trim around the side though. That sounds like a good idea.

I don't know what that is with the lightmap though. Never come across that. Weird!

I think you could turn it into an Epitaph type map from what I have seen from videos (curse my lack of an Xbox 360), I think It would be awesome like that, and I think CE is missing maps like that (besides longest and prisoner)

I suppose I could make the walkways a little higher and a little wider. Thoughts on that anyone?

Progress:
Scaffolding - Done
BSP change - in progress as time permits. Working on this and another project.
