Due to College, there will be limited activity as most of my classes right now require papers written on a regular basis. Lots more work will get done over my 1 month Christmas break and next semester since I am taking classes that don't really require too many papers. For now, however, expect slow progress until this happens.

ok, when does your break start?

Well this sucks! I have a whole new hard drive that I installed Halo to. Different partition and everything, and something is still interfering with it running! WTF! Maybe if I put it on Windows 7 when I get it instead of having another XP partition. Maybe then it will run. I get Windows 7 for free because of my college major so hopefully I will get that soon.

Nice! Right now, now that Halo is working again. I have more progress going on for the map project too. The tunnels, corridors, and stairways are being modeled. and I Have adequate amounts done on the main bases. My plan for the bases as of now. They will be, for the most part, similar, but will have defining features in them other that just color (I have yet to decide how to go about doing this). when a little more progress gets done, after next week perhaps, I will have a few renders to share. Keep in mind when I display these, the concept for this map is rats nest from halo 3. And No, we are not REMAKING rats nest. There will be a few physical similarities but the BSP will be totally different. Oh and Ryan, if you see this and you can't get a hold of me, the BSP layout will be slightly changing to allow for a little more simplicity. We have too many major tunnels in the concept art. I am reducing the number by a couple. Also, one or two rooms may be removed or switched to corridors. Possibly look for vent ducts as well because......... well just because I love maps with vent ducts. :D

alright slash, sounds great, I do want to get a hold of you to ask you about something, but for now, good job!

OMG!!!!! 2 days of school then i have 2 weeks off and i can finally work on the rp and finish it.

Tip: It's more of a surprise if you don't announce that there'll be a surprise.

Non revealed surprises create less surprise, because we're expecting the surprise. But if it wasn't announced, we'd be easily surprised by the surprise, because we weren't expecting it, thus fulfilling the definition of surprise. It's human nature to want to know what's inside a surprise, and since we're expecting the surprise, it's no longer a question of it being a surprise, but what's inside the surprise. Unless the surprise is something we wouldn't expect, then this surprise wouldn't be a legit surprise.

Hardly. If people expected it to come out, and then I didn't release it, I would surprise them with an unexpected, but unpleasant surprise. If you honestly did expect it to come out, then you'd be surprised, but I doubt many people fully expected me to finish and release a map. It's not really a surprise if I create a thread about it, and when I tried to slip surprises into the map, people ended up guessing the surprise, and removing the surprising factor from the surprise. I love how most of your posts are attacks against me nowadays, and it doesn't come as a surprise to me. You could argue how awesome it would have been to surprise the community with a surprise, and avoid surprise messages from surprised people, but in my eyes, the best surprise is the one that no one ever would have dreamed of.

One problem though. I will be gone ALL of tomorrow. I won't be able to get anything done.

Oh yes, I have today (friday) off school becuase of the snow so i can work on the map today.

good crates but I was wondering if you could make the single crates two pieces like in halo 3 where the tops fall off if you shoot them. Its not that important either way the crates are good I was just wondering if its possible to do.

Yeah it would be possible! I was thinking of doing that. Also, It was really easy to unwrap these so I wouldn't mind doing this. Only thing is I have not worked with .vehicle tags and to do this so the top gets knocked off, I would have to do that. Anyone know a good tut for making a scenery into a .vehicle tag?

Also, I was thinking of having it so that when you blew up the big palates, all the parts would break off on their own.
