To whom ever wants to read this. i'm a medical retire. I started playing halo when my son finally got my butt out of the house and to best buy to get a copy. Ever since that day 2 years ago Iv'e not stopped playing and learning. I now am teaching my boys how to build maps and have fun with this great game and have gained a new confidence that I seemed to have lost when I had to leave the the life I love. I don't think I ever played to many video games before, except back in 82 when atari came out with pacman and pitfall lol. My main motivation for this is to let the readers and users now how greatful I am to this community for there support in helping those of use ( young or old ) reach our goals. You guys and gals are great. The map makers, staff and the people who play have inadvertently given back the gift of life for those of us with little hope and uncertian futurs. Yes I know its just a game, but for someone like me it is helping mend a broken body, mind, and soul. It was the catalyst needed I guess to set life back into motion and bring a family back together. Who's to say where life will take us, what adversities we must overcome and the trials that define us and outline our lives. I guess ultimately, life is what we make it. Just wanted to say thank you all and SemperFi
Erik Larson LCplxsnoder,, xsnoder You don't have to post it. I know it is not a topic but I think it would be cool to let people know when they have helped do something great.

Halo is a great game, and delivers much more than most games produced in the last five years. We thank you for your positive and encouraging words!
Good Luck...

A good friend of mine recently lost her mom to cancer. My friend was only 14 and it devestated her. I suggest you see a psychologist. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Nov 15, 2009 at 10:35 PM

The loss of a parent is tragic at any age, more so when you are younger. I lost my parents when I was an adult, at an age you guys would consider old, and I still think about and miss them. Parents are not always perfect and no two are the same but most all of them have one goal in mind and that is that their children do well.
I understand joking about having a bad mom or dad especially if they have punished you or denied you something you wanted, but if you are truly in an abusive situation clouded by drugs and/or alcohol abuse please seek assistance from your school guidance counselor, priest or rabbi and not from people in a web forum.

my dad is alive... but has bipolar. and has left my mother with my 2 brothers and myself, and i haven't seen him since. and that was 2 years ago. well he still sees my other brothers, but has completely forgot about me. It may be not a cause of death, that has separated me an my father. But more of an abandonment. this is supposed to be "something great!!" not "something not great!!"
