Do people really not like most new maps? I haven't seen a Garden_CE server yet and that map is great. TM Immolate too. Too many coldsnap, snow grove, and sanctuary servers, not saying they aren't bad but i'd like to play a little more variety.

Yeah same here. I haven't seen one server of TM_Immolate either, I saw one of Garden_CE but it was empty two hours later it was still empty -__- there is way to many hugeass and coldsnap servers.

I wanted to host a game night on Garden_CE and Immolate, maybe friday. Really good maps IMO. But i guess hugeass, extinction, and coldsnap is what brings people to Halo CE because of the custom weapons and vehicles. I really just want to play casually hardcore slayer on non-stock maps. So far sanctuary is the only good one that has people in it.

Those people either dont have good taste or dont want to expand.

We could go into servers, that are banfree or not, and advertise maps... or email the admin of a dedicated server, and tell him about new maps, or asking him to add new maps?

I hear you. i'm sick of no one playing on the good maps. the only maps you see is coldsnap extinction and hugeass.

And bloodgulch too :P

yeah, good point, I never see servers with those maps, oh, and you forgot Bloodcreek_rc2

bloodcreek is a ghost town for its epicness :(

My server is and has been running Garden and Immolate for the past week now. :)

It's not that there aren't servers, it's that there aren't players.

Well me and a few other players including some TG members, Realworld members and a few others normally head on in the evenings UK time, not sure where your from but maybe thats why it was emtpy.

EST around 2 or 3 PM I went on, stayed 10 mins, no one came, then left

ya, this is the biggest drawback to CE...awesome maps have no players. but everyone seems to have fun downloading halo twice just to play bloodgulch...it's confounding...

I'm kinda starting to wonder if it's not just human nature to follow the pack. I don't think people dislike the new maps I just think we are creatures of habit and most would rather do what is popular instead of branching out to some of these really cool and well thought out maps. My maps are not popular but some of the good ones that come out truley do not get the attention they deserve. I'll start adding more new maps and keep them on my servers for awhile and I do take map request http://www.xfire.com/clans/lcplsemperfi/ or xsnoder @xfire. will have dedi back up and running by sept 15th for halo halo ce and call of duty world at war

somehow, its the maps that have custom stuff that attract people the most.....
anyway, i do run a server (its Banfree Server 24/7 atm), but i only run it when my dad's away on business trips (which is quite unlikely atm too...:( )
i would probably add this to my server's list of maps, but only when there are quite a no. of people playing it.

(but come to think abt it, why do people like bloodgulch that much if that is my logic?

This is what you should expect to see from illiterate ten year olds. Most of them are illiterate and cannot make decisions for themselves. Thats' why they go with everyone else. It's because they are illiterate and need other people to decide what maps they should play. It's these people who I hate the most in life other than the LGBT community. If we were to actually SHOW them how good the maps are. Then they would most likely try other maps out there. I'm thinknig about doing a montage of a number of maps not being played. To get people to play the other good maps that are out there.

need less empty Dedi servers. people put up dedi servers then go on BLOOD GULCH, thats why they are empty, if you are gonna make a dedi server, and you have time, GO ON IT!

You know, i remember someone (sorry i forgot) posted a video showing off TM_Immolate and Garden_CE. It looked really good. My idea is that someone could do a HaloCE: Forges or... something like that. Not a complete rip of Halo3 Forges but something along the lines of it. Not just walking around picking up weapons and shooting them.

I've noticed this before too, which is why I love the STW clan (not trying to recruit, just making known for everyone here).
We have a dedi which we go on plenty. The maps on the dedi are updated regularly and consist of maps rated on GAMEPLAY not how many nuke launchers there are (No offense, Hugeass). Nearly everyone in our clan has a microphone, which makes great fun and bonding.
