Because after they fix MJOLNIR armor you have to, otherwise they know how it works.

the halo 1 engineers were always done :\

I meant finish it as have it in game as it was meant to be.
it has holding animations for the plasma pistol but it holds then inside it's chest.

Maybe you should read the thread title. It say's Images meaning there's going to be Halo 3: ODST images hints spoilers. Your own fault for not being smart.
Well, the title can mean many things. It can mean he's trying to put ODST engineers in Halo CE, or it could mean that he has one screenshot of an engineer, not a whole thing with subtitles and everything.

Also, way to be an ass.

Either way there's going to be images of the ODST Engineers. Reading "Aw Nuts" and "Whoa" isn't spoiling the game. If you can tell what the story of the new game is going to be just off of those 3 words then you have a gift.

could be a good idea and as for them holding weapons yeah probaly not instead I would mimic how there used in ODST I would give them shields and the ability to give surronding units shields.

although now that I think about it there are kamikaze engineers in ODST. The brutes like rig there armor so that it blows up that would be cool to put ingame.

Actually that means it has NO holding animation for the weapon, or if I'm wrong there, then it's just some quick fix thrown in.

Go look at DarkZealot's Sidewinder mod called "Sentinel valley".
All weapons are held in the VERY CENTER of the the Sentinel. You may need flycam or devcam if you can't get anyone on that level for you to get a good look.

Yeah, I've tried finishing the engineer, but it doesn't have a marker on any of it's tentacles to hold a plasma pistol. It also has no animation for holding a weapon labelled pp so it defaults to holding at the "origin" or center of the body.

right they slowly drift towards you. Also its not a proximity bomb it detonates after the engineer has been killed.

That was sarcasm. Since the engineers are forerunner creations, they can be assumed to be revered by the Covenant, and thus not strapped with explosives.

Yeah even if they are created by the forerunners there status in the covenant is pretty low there ranked somewhere among the grunts and also for some reason the Brutes hate the engineers so its not unlikely that they would use them as kamikazes.

Engineers are filled with Methane gas, so they already are, naturally, an explosive.

It's not really an "Easter Egg", just a unique encounter. I remember seeing it from fp view in a vidoc, or some other video. The brutes say something along the lines of "It's armed" when they let the engineer go, which is when you get near.

im working on the engineers. Not for public use unless you rip it off the map(s) im going to use them on. But im probably going to make them explode when they die instead of a death animation. though i could combine the two :O

eh that will work. Thats pretty close in ODST how it works is they have there own energy shields and theyll try to get as close to you as they can before there shields drop then wheen you kill them a few seconds later the bomb explodes so a death animation isn't absolutely neccesary.
