I am modding the campaign map a50. but i can just use a little more tags , or the map will failed to build.
someone said CMT's tool_pro can fix this problem , can i get it?

tool_pro will make the map exception. How many tags did you put in a50. I made a mod of it and have alot of new stuff in it and I still have 1.0mb free. Remove the stuff that you dont want. Replace stuff not add.

i just put a few tags in it.
i added
3 vehicle tags
and
2 biped tags.
then i cannot add more tags

He is showing you that you exeeded the tag limit by 0.7 mb, as shown in the bolded numbers......

for 0.7 mb you just gotta make your bitmaps a bit lower quality, recompile them with a low quality, optimise whereever you can

or just delete dumb tags like the grenades, i dunt liek nade spemz.

you may have noticed that in the default campaign maps that the pallet has some duplicate tags... Like in the biped section there may be a cyborg, a marine, a elite and another cyborg. Just delete the duplicates and you would get about 2MB or so of tag space back. Maybe more depending on the map. Of course there would be more than a duplicate cyborg.biped, there would be scenery, vehicles, actor variants etc.

One biped tag and its referenced tag isnt going to take up 2 megabytes.

Use the tools I posted.

i didn't mean the one biped took 2 MB. I meant all the duplicates that were in the scenario could take up to 2MB of tag space. Allowing him to compile it. And still have some space for some more tags.

does those tools really work?
128 mb is the full capacity of BG, DC etc....
but the map i made needs 135.67mb

those tools let everyone exception when playing the map at some point, i don't know why, but bungie probably made those cache limits for a reason.

i might be the only one that havn't encountered corrupt bitmaps or crashes at all, but it's better to learn how to optimise then to risk that, just half the size of textures or recompile them at lower quality settings, remove some unneeded bipeds etc etc you should know the drill.
