Well, i just played on this map called winterfrost, and the ghost reminds me of another style of graphics used in other games: something like this: Borderlands or: XIII Edited by AlwinRoth on Aug 4, 2009 at 10:57 AMnow, back to the point, does anyone know any maps that have a graphic design like this? and is it actually possible to get the whole game like this style of graphics? changing character bipeds, level designs, weapons etc. into this black outline type of design?Edited by AlwinRoth on Aug 4, 2009 at 10:58 AM

me thinks you are referring to a style known as "Cell-shading". If they could get the ghost do to it I can't see why not anything else.

No maps that I know of entirely use cel shading. Just vehicles and the likes. Be kinda cool to see though...

There is a method of cell shadeing. But it will double your frame rate. You would duplicate the original geometry, use the push modifier, flip the normals, and make it black.

cell shaded BG looks pretty odd, the ghost is what draws my attention the most.
Would be nice if it were more of a complex map that would want people to play it :(

bloodgulch cell shaded was horrible, it looks better on more complex structures, aka ghost and the likes, and maybe places like derelict

for those of you with 1.08 (which should be all of you btw), firescythe released an open sauce package that contained some post effects things. one of them was a stencil style filter that makes things look similar to the style above. no recompiling necessary. theres also bloom in there too. i couldnt get it to work on my computer, but the screenshots i saw looked pretty cool

I've tried playing Halo with it. Then all I got was exceptions whenever I tried to load the game. Either that, or it kept crashing when I try to turn it on.

The problem with the bottom game is this. It is such an old game, it uses images for the players and the fp. Halo, of course, uses models. Your game = 2D FP Halo = 3D FP There is no way you can do it unless you mess with the bitmaps of the weapons.

that's a bitmaps.map for halo pc, masters was talking about a version of something similar to that in CE. although that does look awesome..
