I modified Grove_final so that it looks kind of like cmt snow grove, weapon wise.

Please tell me what else I need to add to the map to make it more like snow grove. Ty.

So you took Grove_final, added in CAD's assault rifle, the released MA5K, a reskinned sniper rifle, the spiker from Captus, Hayabusa's battle rifle, a H1 shotgun using Hayabusa's animations (I think), a modified needler, and a pistol using Leet's animations? You're missing the SMG.

How do I change HUD errors?

Like when I get ammo for an assault rifle, it says, "Picked up 128 shotgun pellets." or something like that.

Renaissance as in rebirth?

If you want to change the text for the assault rifle, open up the hud messages string list using the String list editor. If you don't know where the string list is, you can find it directed inside default.hud_globals. Scroll down to the string where it says "Picked up an assault rifle" or "Picked up a MA5B Assault Rifle", or if you want to make it more accurate, add an entry that says "Picked up a MA5C Assault Rifle". Then, if you added a new one, underneath the new one, add another string that says "Picked up %d rounds for the assault rifle", or whatever you want it to say. Remember the number next to "Picked up an assault rifle". Then, open up the weapon tag. Scroll down partway, and where it says message index, put in the number. If you added a new entry, remember to save the string list.

Yea. Remember the location of that string list. Then, get the string list editor, and open up that string list using the editor.

Lol i finally got enough sense to know that it was a third person app.

Edit: I changed the string and changed the message index, but after I recompiled and picked up an AR, it didn't say anything.

What's the number next to your string list? Make sure the number corresponding to "Picked up an assault rifle" is the number you put into message index.

I have the correct number, I checked. I made a new string, so I changed it to 61, but it doesn't show anything in game.

E: Ok, I found out what's wrong. The .globals I was using had a .hud_globals reference to h2_ui or something, so I just redirected my hud messages string to that.

E2: Should I upload the grove variant to halomaps?

I'm pretty sure they mean that you should change the feel of it. We have way too many maps with AI just running command lists and going towards other people's bases. If you're going to make an AI map, at least put effort into it. No command lists. Those make them all slaves. Use firing positions and ai_magically_see_encounter.
