You can't have spaces in file names - the obvious conclusion. And check your bitmap.

1. Detail Grass doesn't have it's own shader.
2. Tool should have no problem with spaces if it's just a material name.
3. Make your own shader for detail grass.

Everything can have spaces. You just have to know how.

tool bitmaps "weapons\sniper rifle\bitmaps"
You have to put parentheses around the directory for there to be spaces.

all i want is a nice grass on the ground, not much to ask... but these answers are stuff im not even dealin with... i ran radiosity, ive put the material name to detail grass and detail_grass for two different maps, the only lead i have is the compiling the bitmaps...i used yayaps tutorial and in his he gets a warning which is where he changes it to explicit alpha...but i dont get these warnings, it just makes it. so i dont change anything, is that a priority?yes or no

Detail grass isn't a shader. It's a bitmap name. Plain and simply, you have to make your own shader for it.

so when i have my .scenario file compiled, i go in guerilla, click new, then go to shader enviroment, and place detail grass as my base map, and detail map as detail grass as well with a scale of 25?

Well, you should probably not have a detail map since your using a detail map as a base map.
