I have been having trouble with fixing errors in Gmax. Usually when I get them I will just start over again until I do not get the problem. But I would like to know how to fix them.

So I started a Gmax file just to try to learn how to fix the problems with a simple object.

Here is what I did to make the error and than to see if I could fix Them. I opened up a new Gmax I created two box the same dimensions. I then attached them but left a space between them. I did this so that I could create new polygons to make the two boxes one complete box. I exported using chimp, then I used tool command model to make my model.jms file. No problems. Then I used the tool command collision-geometry to build my model_collistion.jms file. Then I get the errors. A list of errors that reads “### error couldn’t update edge #4 (red).

I went back into Gmax and looked for missing sided, there were none. I then deleted all the sides that I made and I remade all of them. I got the very same errors.

What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do?

Thank you, krispy1001

You can import the .wrl file with chimp. The script is on this site. The errors (in your case, a red edge) will show on your map. Maybe it's just me, but I always have trouble finding the edges.

http://ghost.halomaps.org/tutorials/ contains a tutorial on how to do so. Its at the bottom under misc. I have not watched it so I cannot tell you how helpful it will be.

Thanks, goyanks135

I can not find .wrl file when I am not using the structure command. When I am making a tag I can not find the .wrl file. I have looked for the .wrl file in my halo custom edition dir. like I do when I am making a .scenerio file. But I can not find it.

I will look at the tutorial

Thank you very much

The .wrl file is generated when you use the structure command and are given errors. It should be in your halo ce directory where you have tool, sapien, your tags folder, etc.
