Ok, I need to know what program to make a map with. I have GMAX 1.2, but most of the tuts show Autodesk 3ds max 7 or 8. Problem there is that you can only geta trial of 3ds Max 2010. I could get 7 or 8, but only with an illegal torrent. Anybody able to help?

Like you said, torrent it, sorry but no piracy, so I ain't going to tell what torrent etc. though, Gmax is almost exactly the same as 3ds max, I just can't use it on vista, that's why I use 3ds max

I use 9, but it doesn't plugin with blitzkreig so get bluestreak instead
8 is the best suited for halo (or so I'm told) |

personally, i prefer gmax. because it is:
faster textures are displayed better on the model (do not swim when zoomed in) no weird zoom no faces sticking through other faces and the cameras better for me, anyhow. |

Sorry I didn't reply fast, but I use version 7 on my craptop, and 9 on my high-end PC, with the needed bluestreak scripts ofc

That's on Gmax. I've never run into that problem on Max.

Get max 8. I've used Gmax, Max 7, Max 8, and Max 2008. Max 8 is the best for Halo map making.
