Hey an Awsome map idea guys what if we make a Halo map based around a theme park. but not have like scenery as rides but actualy to be able to ride the rides. i think this map would be a great idea the only problem i have is making other stuff besides map and placing it in game. and before you start spaming tutorials saying make them yourselves. heres what happends it takes forever! So anyone want to help.

You can't ask for help if you can't mod at all, because then they're not helping you, they're just doing whatever you tell them to.

Ok I can model and stuff but i'm not good at making vehicles. All i was thinking about doing was making a theme park map w/ ridable rides. the thing its getting the ides to work i've been talking to people before and they think movable scenery would be good but i don't i think we should make a vehicle w/ friendly ai that is always in the driver seat and drives the ride. all other seats would be side seats so you could ride them. I ca make the map but if anyone that knows how to make a cool ridable vehicle like a ride at an amusment park. this would be a very big project so if you would like to help please say so you can pm me or talk to me through xfire (slayermaster93). So I would realy like the help.

Not an analog metaphor. Device machines do not sync in Halo CE and scripting cannot determine position or state other than on or off like door openings. They kind of sync like a woman is kind of pregnant. Either they do or don’t and they don’t. You have the impression they are working together but in fact they are not. A device machine to carry people around a ride could never be properly synced due to the lack of position and state updates.

One person using a device machine does not mean it is syncing. You would have to look at all clients to see the differences. The Device machine will run on the individual client so a person on a dedicated server would see his machine operate but since there is no status sent from the other clients they wouldn't see it. You cannot test the operation with one client. You need at least two. The only thing you can do is send on/off status using the biped kill script. A two state device machine like a door could appear to sync but in actuallity they will operate at different speeds on different clients depending the the PC. Even the Zanzabar wheel does not sync properly but the margin of error is enough to only effect game play some times. I cannot tell you how oftern I have been killed by or pushed by the wheel when the opening wasn't anywhere close to me. Halo CE does not transmit status or position of device machines over a network connection. They run only on the client.

Device Machines don't sync perfectly but they do work still. I tested Inferno when I was in EMT and the elevators and the giant bridge works over the internet. The only downside is that sometimes you would fall through the elevator, same with the bridge. Keep in mind I was playing with 3 other people, not just in a lan game.
