Hey what does this mean? I get this on both the model and collision-geometry compiling. What does it mean?

Although some people don't agree with me, I'm sure it's your materials are out of order. Some other people say you have something that you didn't give a texture.
Should be: 1 2 3
Instead of: 1 3 2

it's in order. I only have one bitmap and it's unwrapped. It's in the 1st material slot and all the polygons are material 1 anything else it could be

Check to see if they are all actually material 1 and not 2 or something. Since you have only 1 material, it may be showing the first one because it repeats. If not, I don't know anything that would cause that error.

I think that error is caused by a material that is NOT a multi0-sub object. But it could aldo be from a face that doesn't have a valid material assigned.

wait, if i applied my uvw unwrap before my uvw map, would that possible screw it up? Because i did that when i started and didn't think it would matter.

pretty sure its because the material isn't a multi-sub type, like Vick said.

Doesn't 3ds max automatically go to multi-sub? Maybe i'm wrong here.
I made a map recently in 3ds max and that worked ok. And i have compiled scenery before a few times. Edited by eliteslasher on May 28, 2009 at 09:35 PM

Seriously guys i have checked and checked again. It's all textured and all unwrapped. Even the bottom. Do i maybe need to have more than one texture. Could that be the problem. I wouldn't think so because texturing something such as a rock would only be one bitmap.

No, you must have missed something, check for any faces inside your model. Tool does not check for open edges and stuff like that on this, because that's what collision is for.

Have you tried exporting without using any textures at all? to check if it's something else?

last night i completely rebuilt the whole model and i still got the same error. Now i'm thinking it may be a tool problem. Maybe something on it is corrupt.
Yup, i think tool is corrupt because i just tried to make a simple scenery and tried "tool collision-geometry testscenery" on a test subject and i got the "EXACT" same error. It is probably a tool error Edited by eliteslasher on May 29, 2009 at 11:36 AM
