Does the quantity of player starting points contribute anything to the maximum number of objects on a map? In Sapien, I occasionally get a "maximum_rendered_objects exceeded". Edited by Mysterion on May 27, 2009 at 09:43 PM

It means you probably didn't portal your map and you probably went overboard on scenery. Edited by chrisk123999 on May 27, 2009 at 11:08 PM

So, back to my original question. Do having too many player starting points contribute to this problem or warning?

Player starting points are not considered 'objects', therefore do not add to the objects list. Neither do they take up tagspace.

No, just portal your map properly and remove some scenery. Starting points have nothing to do with that error. Edited by chrisk123999 on May 28, 2009 at 01:12 PM

Not many tutorials out there, your best bet would be to go though the HEK tutorial, although it does a bad job at it. There's an old topic around here somewhere that goes into good detail about it.
