What I would do is create a flag at the point of the grav lift. Then, I would create a script that continuously creates a damage_effect at the flag, that does no damage. Instead, it propels the player up. Of course, there may be other ways, but this fits best.

But that's unreliable, lags, and sends the player in different directions. I have not tried one made by scripting though.

Scripting takes to long, its easier as a scenery with an effect.

how did the poeple who made coagulation for HCE make theirs. those grav lifts were nice.

side note: i'm exporting my map in gmax. how do i save the max listener code thing. copy & paste takes too long since you can only select so much.

I'm pretty sure those grav lifts didn't sync for client.

or you can time on how long it takes before hitting the ground and then script the player for when they enter the trigger volume they cant take any damage. until they hit the ground. :|

Maybe you can simulate a 'jump' for the player. I have no idea how to do so.

The only scripting I know is HTML, ActionScript, CSS, and Javascript. No mapmaking scripts.

I don't think there is a script that forces a play to jump and causes him to jump higher for that moement to simulate a "jump"

Then all that we can do is find some tags for the grav lift.

it syncs. why wouldn't it? all it is is just a thing that pushes you up kinda like super jump in Dev. so there fore other players would be able to see you'r guy flying up in the air.

anything dealing with damage effects/stuff that pushes you does not sync apparently.

Super jump actually does not sync if you the client.
Since Halo would not transfer the message to the client that super jump is enabled, when you jump, you get jerky motions.
The only way is to make it "sync" is to enable devfor the client, and enable jump jump for it too

so how would scripting be any better than a tag?
