When it's in it's in. Soon I will be able to show the fully working boarding. I've ironed out all but one exception, which happens when the wraith effects aren't loaded into memory. I also had the script less banshee boarding working but then something weird happened with my markers. Anything I added into the model tag started defaulting to location 0, 0, 0. It also happens if we add new markers by recompiling the model.

They are not wasting space, as each page displays a NUMBER of posts, not a length. So what they are doing is MAKING more space you have to scroll by, not WASTING it. Big difference there.

I was just playing spv1 a few minutes ago, and I was wondering.

In A30 you could blow up echo 419 a few times and still beat the level. Will this problem be fixed in spv2?

Echo 419 isn't just one pelican. If you check the level, there are five or six pelicans, but they all APPEAR to be E419.

It doesnt matter, just because something dies doesnt mean its game over, unless its a specific objective, and scripted to restart when dead.

But echo 419 is key to the plot. It comes back at several points in the level to pick up survivors, and at the very end to rescue you. If you kill captain keys, you have to start over because he is key to the plot. It just dosn't make sense that after you blow up the pelican, 5 minutes later it comes back out of nowhere completely unscathed.

BUT, they're all piloted by the same person, Foehammer. Now, i may be wrong, but last time I checked, pilots don't just die in a pelican that blew up, then magically return flying a different ship.

It's a point I doubt CMT is going to care about. By the way, Sergeant Johnson was on almost all the maps where you encounter marines, and he can die in every one of them. Yet, the majority careth not.

No. The reason why, is because it causes trouble for everything. Once E419 flys away, you need it to fly back again, to another spot, which means you need to create a new recorded animation to make her fly there. Why not just create a brand new pelican, and stick it right there?

this is just one of those technicality things. its written on the texture. thats why it appears that way in the maps. its the same thing with the hunter spewing flood blood on occasion. its not a secret egg that was never discovered, and its not a canon conspiracy. its just a technical part of the game. just overlook it

yeah i did this too on A50. then i spent an hour trying to find the failsafe way to end the level incase you DO blow up the pelican that you are supposed to get on and leave in. yeah turns out there ISNT a failsafe :C

too bad 4 u.I remember watching a walkthrough of the level where for about 6 minutes the guy just blew up pelicans.i gave that vid 1 star.good thing theyre indestructable

Funding. It would have cost more to model a new Pelican, skin it, and stick it ingame. Plus, when you can reference the same model multiple times it makes the code smaller, meaning the game is smoother. Why do you think all the marines look basically the same, except for a few special cases.

New question completely unrelated to a30... On 343GS, will the "lone Marine" egg still be there? (the one you get if you manage to stay on the Pelican after it's supposed to drop you off). And the same thing on AOtCR where you can hear the faint music from a different Bungie game in multiple parts of the level.

bout the back pack stuff i saw a few pages back

woulnd it be cool to have a cinematic where the chief has his Ar on his back
or something like that

SO back pack weapons could be usefull for cinematics
