Except that it deploys as a grenade, doesn't stand on the 4-legged thing and is only use for one person.

yeah, there's a map that has bubble shields replace the plasma grenades, so it's possible.

http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2522 its based off that video, so thats why its nothing like the one in H3. I myself prefer the water textured varient lol. if you rather have the model more H3 release, then make a geosphere, bevel each octogon part out. you get results like this

the collision thing doesnt really mater how it works when its based off the video. Garbage tags work fine to let everything other than bullets pass threw.

The point wasn't the collision, it was the light refraction using an invisible biped...
