dear cmt

i'll start this post saing that i have never posted in this thraed in spite of the fact that i've been whatching your work for more the two years. i never said any criticism because i'm not a modder or a 3dmax's expert, never write encouragiament because useless and point less in this thraed, also i never quote or argue with the childreen that at the end made all close. But now i wuold like to just say thank, at a good modder-squad that decided to share his work with others halo's fans. I appreciated the screenshoots, the videos, and all the stuff you gave us.

i know it's kinda jerk or patetic but thank.(i liked the spv1 alot despite bugs and missing string :) )

i don't know if someone will read this since it's a litttel rock in an ocean of poitless dust, but i hope you knew that people can read understand and appreciate without write.
also i thank supersnipper and the other tread's organaisers like dannis.i'll end reminding why i'm and you are writting in this forum, because you liked and you belived in one littel game called halo .

have a nice day. giov

Discarding the spelling and mistakes to the side, that post, was actually pretty good.

yeah, that was pretty smart. Well Done. ( i swear i saw a post like that somewhere else) anyway, i may not have a clear perspective on the current progress of CMT. But, i thought this "SP-V2" was meant to be released to the community last Christmas, i know the rumours of spamming on this forum may have effected cmt in some way, but i think they would be smart enough to completely ignore the spammers on the previous thread and not allow them to effect their standards.

People have their opinions on cmt, their work has indeed been delayed. I think CMT should be smart enough to know they are just immature and to finish their project. Their delayed progress has just increased the amount of "spam" that has occurred on these forums. So to conclude, i must say the amount of spamming can be somewhat critically onto cmt not solely, it is mainly the immature little people who thing the world will fall apart if they don't see updates before a finished project.

CMT is not effected by the spam at all.

We're normal people, spam isn't our kryptonite.

Does that include their main account if they had one?

You are correct. The spam is annoying, but it doesn't impede our progress.

actually, I have a question. Since this thread is pretty much a trap for idiots who can't read teh rules to fall in and get banned, it would make sense to have moderators watching it a lot. But why is there only one moderator? Dennis is doing a great job, and this thread is evidence of that, but it seems like with all the crud that gets posted on the forum, it would make sense to have more then one person to look after the forum, amirite?
Hmm I hope this wasn't off topic :S

No. Like he said, it does not slow them down. How would spam slow someone down? Very little time is taken to resolve the problems, and Dennis usually does it, so how does it slow their progress?

I heard that sp-v2 would've been out by now if it wasn't for the ongoing spam that has stunted your progress, Forgive me if im wrong, but doesn't that mean spam has taking effect on your overall progress?

There never was an official release date for SPv2, so you can't be sure of when it will be completed.

It was only suppose to be released two times, before h2v and 2008. What we're really working on is more like SPV4. The mod is completely different than it was going to be when H2V came out, and again a complete differnt thing than it would have been with our 2008 release plan. The real work on it has only been really been in this past year, nearly everything before then we've thrown out or redid.

HA what people fail to realize is that Halo 2 Vista is EXACTLY the same as Halo 2 Xbox, and if I do recall Halo 2 Xbox was the most popular multiplayer and most played game of its time, the reason why Halo 2 Vista is so not liked in the PC community is because it is the EXACTLY the same, they did nothing to improve it or make it come up to the new technology at the time, Also another factor was the stupid gold/silver accounts which they got rid of btw. So really the major reason people don't play H2V is because it's exactly the same as H2X and the PC community was excpecting something better not something the same, another reason was the editing kit was just very limited.

Ye, I remember seeing somewhere that Korn or someone else was working on the H2Ek to make it a bit more open? Or is that a bunch of lies? Or rather broken dreams?

Actually they did improve how the game looks, as in hi res textures. But there should've been more optimization. I have the game on low quality, while forcing it to run at 640x480, and I still get a bad fps, about 17 MAX, in the 20s if I'm lucky.

I actually wouldn't mind helping with that projecta fter the FC is done, as I want to move onto another game anyway. Somewhere where I'm not so limited engine-wise.

Dennis: I understand you wanting to keep this forum clean and on topic, but I think this goes a little far. It is BECAUSE of teams like CMT and H3MT the people come to your forums. The more threads you ban, the less people come and move to a far more tolerant forum (modacity, modhalo...)

I have to agree with this. I disagree with this ban trap. Flat out banning people without warning is way too harsh. There have been a few banned in this thread that, if you look at their previous posts, were not instigators of any sort, and have actually contributed to the community. This banning spree is a bit extreme.

Not nearly as extreme as some of the stuff that went on in the CMT topic :/
Edit: btw most of the accounts banned were obvious spammers like recondevastator and grammar Nazi.
