i host a halo dedicated server. i just wandet to know how to have the server say things to people when they join. example. someone joins the server and it says "welcome to the server. press f4 for rules." how do they get it to do that. if you know the init code for that i would appriciate the help. thanks in advance

Well, that stuff's not coded into the game. Servers use this server app to do that: http://xhalo.co.cc/The download and all of the commands and instructions needed to run the server app are on that site.

ok i downloaded it and got it patched. when i put in the command to say something on join it says it everytime someone joins. i only want it to say something when they join. not when everyone joins. what is the command i would use for that. also is there cheats in this. i didnt see any when i looked through the commands. are there more

Seems that you did not read the commands.... Anyway there it is (normal dedi server commands here) load event_join 'wait 7000;say $n "(Your server welcome message here)"' If you want to say a guy's name its $n btw. However, note that its a little buggy- sometimes the server message gets cut off

thanks for all your help. i got it working. im still learning all the commands. lol. if there are any commands that arnt on the list can you tell me.
