Hunter the way you modeled this makes it nearly impossible to UV. You should have had the main barrel intersect with the other parts instead of fusing it all together as 1 element. This saves massive amounts of poly.

You probably could have cut the triangle count in half if you do stuff like DEE mentioned.

Looks like you never saw the discussion about this over at modacity. I dont use ANY automatic unwrapping tool.
