The only reason Bungie isn't going to help out the HCE community is because it's an old game. They know if they work on it sales aren't going to increase.

Well bungie doesnt ever get the sales for hce anymore that all goes to Microsoft Game Development program but if they want to keep there fans and there comunity busy and happy dont you think they would listen and help maybe? Like fixing the few lines of code for A.I. sync which would be pretty easy on their part take like 2 mins becides the saving uploading and stuff on halomaps for release update.

The point of CE wasn't about sales at all. It's free. And all you needed was Halo PC. Sure CE added to Halo PC sales. But it's not like 5 million modders are going to jump at the chance to edit CE. What's a hundred Halo 1 PC games sold do for Microsoft? Nothing, because that's only 2,000 dollars and thats nothing in the worlds' economy.

I'm pretty sure it will be alot longer than 2 minutes to completely redo the net code for A.I. :|

You need to look at it from Bungie's perspective. If there's no money involved they are not going to do it. They won't bother with the HCE community because they are busy with the H3 community.

Yah but if i were them i would not just ignore my loyal customers :D I never do myself.

But you aren't them. They have two choices: Help a small group of mappers who continuously stay behind the game, or support the game that's sold over 5 million copies, and have many fans that would love for a few new multiplayer maps. To them, those that paid their worth deserve more. We may have paid for Halo, but most of us probably bought the game when it was cheaper, at like 20 dollars, rather than when it was 50 (some of us probably didn't even buy it at all). However, many people out there are willing to shovel out 50 or 60 dollars for a copy of Halo 3, and maybe an additional 60 for a plastic helmet (I know I would). Therefore, they have more worth in expanding Halo 3 rather than working on a 5 year old game.

or something else in sync with today's pop culture

I had this awesome dream a few weeks ago. It seemed to be a Halo 3 map, where I was a spartan playing on the new multiplayer map. The environment and location was what surprised me. The map, it seemed to take place in the City of Voi after the crash of the flood ship. The way it was layed out, the ruins of Voi, with some Flood stuff around. Fires every now and then. The flood invasion feeling. It had somewhat small walk areas, only accessible by foot. And a cracked road, with messed up cars on the sides and on the road, where vehicles would go.

It literally looked amazing, if there was only a way to get a picture of it from my mind...

I voted no because they did make an update. It's called their next game, and don't say I'm not a fan. Bungie has done plenty for their game and ocmmunity. You are all spoiled.

please, can we try to think seriously here? i have had epiphanies in my sleep. things i never understood before became clear to me in dreams. im not saying im a prophet or anything, but whatever your mind wants to do, it can do inside of your own head. i had a dream last year that rekindled an admittedly weak storyline i was working on when i was in 5th grade. im currently developing the plot.
what im saying is that your brain can synthesize amazing things with minimal amounts of information.

I think they gave us the HEK for sure.

Bungie made all the original tools, gearbox ported them and edited them for us regular guys to use. Bungie's not gonna do much for this game. And H2V was ported by Hired Gun, so don't complain to bungie about how much it sucks.

Thats nothing, i actually become less tall as i age. I am now a whopping 3 feet 2 inches, i was 7 feet exactly at birth.

We have a winner. I'm not saying they don't care fan-wise, but as many have pointed out before, working on fixing a 7 year old game isn't really that good for business.
