~Story~

A very long time ago, when Gravemind was a young breed, there was a place on Halo Installation 04 most favorited by him, where he could freely lie in the sun and bathe his tentacles in waterfalls-fed wells.

This haven was eventually dicovered by the Covenant, who sent an elite squadron to try to anihilate Gravemind. They got to grievously wound Gravemind but failed, as he finally escaped, and the whole squadron was lost, except one Elite fighter - but that's another story.

Gravemind never came back to this place filled with remembereances of pain and loss.

Much later, UNSC forces rescaped from the Pillar of Autumn transformed the place as a logistic outpost during their fight against the Covenant. they used to call all their outposts after constellations; this was base Orion.

~Description~

A forunner canyon whit two abandoned forunner facilitys.

~Detailed Map Information~

It works for all gametypes,especially for CTF and KOTH
fun playing on Oddball,Juggernaut,Slayer,and Race aswell.
Althougt race can be a little tricky.

There might be some easter eggs,Who knows?;)

Nice, the bases are awesome. Just one suggestion. The doors you have look kinda ugly. Fix em up. They don't look forerunner. Make them taller and skinnier at the top, Move the first 2 vertexes down close the the floor.

I have two suggestions. My first one is to put something that would actually allow the waterfalls in the bases to go like that. They just hit the floor and continue to go through the floor or something. What I think you should do is either put a small gap in the floor, one either small enough for you to walk over or you could put player clipping over it, so that the waterfall could flow through it. My other suggestion is to put vehicles in the map on slayer gametypes. I think even one warthog in each base is enough, but it really needs vehicles on slayer.

It is basicly..Why is there no vehicles in slayer?Lol its because the map is small..It would bring the game to an end way to quick..All players need a fair chanse to actually win it.

Higuy look at the comment under yours..I made the map to statisfy the players gameplay wise..And hopefully i did:)and yes im totaly whit you that it couldve needed more work..But it felt like it was done for me..The work that couldve been added would be some more variation on ground texture and the ground it self..But as i said..I hope you liked the gameplay:)

I never said it was bad in game plays wise. When I said it could of been a bit better, I meant better looking. The ground texture just looked a little to plane, thats all. When going for a ground texture you should add color around were the cliffs are and rocks and trees. And you can also experiment with the Alpha too on the ground map, by adding in custom detail maps and other things.

^Yes and i know that.I liked to keep it simple thats all.Reason i didnt add gray colour at sides to make it "Melt"together whit the cliffs cause i think it looks ugly.

I like this map. Basic, simple, and great. Looks like a map that would be made if bungie made a map pack for halo back in the old days. Great job.

It's slightly too small for my tastes, but then I realise how fair and balanced the gameplay is and I don't care. The only flaws I care about are..

1. Bases seem a bit too big and pointless.

2. Stock Halo weapons, I wouldn't of minded slightly updated weapons. But I guess it isn't that bad because of it,it makes it fairer.

I know, thats a good point. But I would of enjoyed having a custom weapon or two. It's just imprinted on my brain from playing maps like Extinction and Snow Grove for so long.

Snow Grove has a custom weapon set and Extinction is going for a totally different style of gameplay.
