I'm trying to see if it is possible to create a searchlight (sort of like the ones on the GTA police helicopters). Problem is, I don't know how to start. Anyone want to help?

try an AI gunner with a weapon that fires no projectile, but the firing effect is a searchlight. I wouldn't know how to get it to search back and forth, and not just track the player, though.

add a set with a turret or something to a vehicle f your choice and make the weapons projectile contrail a light but remove damage effects. or something... just a suggestion though

Or just attach modified headlight tags to be brighter and larger, then link a marker to a moving frame.

or use object_attach to attach an animated scenery spotlight to the vehicle.

Alright, this is pretty good. I modified the Warthog headlights, and now I'm going to test them using the Covenant Dropship's turret to "fire" the searchlight out for testing.

I like that Idea. That would be nice for a SP level.

You could have an AI that Aims the Gun around. It could aim at the player, and alert the Enemy.

I think I shall use this in my custom SP I am making.

Thanks for The idea, it is really cool actually.
