Why when you click on E3po's alt it links me to Billy G's profile. How did you change your name? E3po stop talking through another alias... we know that's you.

You would actually expect any of us to be dumb enough to trust anything of E3po's? Like I'm actually going to run his app

ok cool so tool** is some app that uses your internet connection to send back data about your macine to e3po

cool

... are your all retarded, that's not at all the point... its so that he can make it better if commands didn't run correctly... The run times is to see when a good time to launch an update. The hardrive ID is just so that it doesn't log a new user if you run a command more then once, or load it up 5 gillion times.

There is no sensitive information being sent.. So you have no room to flip out.
Edited by Billy G on Nov 24, 2008 at 08:56 PM

no, we are not "are your all retarded"
a piece of software that send info back to him? are you kidding me? are YOU retarded? if he can send back statistics of when the program is started, what ELSE can he send back? yeah, i have room to flip out, ok?. brains. as unbelievable as it is, you have them. use them

From what i hear(Dennis could check logs)he told Dennis FIRST before testing it on anybody else. you can ask DEE if e3po asked BEFORE he tested it on him.

"E3pO: I only tested it on people i knew, and most of them wanted me to..."

wow omfg and you continue down the ladder
HE SENT A PM TO DENNIS TO GET DENNIS' COOKIE SO HE COULD ACCESS DENNIS' DATA
MOST of them wanted me to? with a ... after it? come ON people. who is falling for this crap?

Quote: --- Original message by: Advancebo
If E3p0 really did something to make Tool** send stuff back to him about the user, that would be a Violation of Privacy, and could go to jail or get sued.

gee, and the feds confiscated his pc a while back too. anyone remember that?

.. You guys are as immature as he said. I'm off to bed.

we are immature? are you kidding me? can i get a picture of you actually saying those words? you are sitting here defending a guy who has time and time again shown us that he is willing to hack to get stuff. thats what he does. he hacks to get what he wants. you know what that is? thats what babies do. are you listening to me? INFANTS.
his join date is last july. i dont doubt that this is one of his friends, although if it is, its no big surprise.

edit: k, statistics, data, ETC.
that could be ANYTHING. all you did there was bolster what i was saying before. im glad i didnt run that POS on my new pc.
but uh, yeah you are falling for his crap.

you quoted me saying "his join date is july, he might be one of e3po's friends" then said you used bugmenot.com. you didnt say what for, and combined with your choice of quote, what am i supposed to think? i dont trust ANYTHING you post and im certainly not going on any websites provided by you

ok. i looked at your little site there. get free passwords for people? really? you are going to call us arrogant? try: we dont like asses like you that come here and think they can rule the place. i dont know what your personal issue is, but some of us like posting on this site and DONT like our accounts jacks. thats what e3po tried to do, and APPARENTLY i have to take this step by step for your small mind because you insist on typing "rofl?" as if your asking me if i think its funny, which i dont.
join date = july 18th 2008. you didnt alter the join date, and you said you used a site which allows me to get a guy's password. so you jacked somebody's account, and started posting with it. un-fricking-believable. and you call me arrogant. seek help

BugMeNot.com was created as a mechanism to quickly bypass the login of web sites that require compulsory registration and/or the collection of personal/demographic information (such as the New York Times).

So people want you to hack their accounts?

That's important information. Only Microsoft has the right to take your information for whatever things they do with it.

I haven't seen an update.
Also, can't you collect the information anonymously to see what errors occur the most, and not who gets those errors? If it records one time you load it up, wouldn't that fix one error and not anything else? According to what you said, if you load it up 5 "gillion" times, it would not register each and every one of those due to the hard drive ID. Wouldn't taking it in anonymously be much better?

Its very bad manners.

To what? Tell the administrator of a forum that there is a bug, and then test it on friends to see if it works on different computers and browsers?

Yeah, thats real horrible manners.

Must you test it out?

Oh and thanks Dennis
At first I thought it had to do with my computer crashing....
But now it works! :D

You have no clue what your talking about.

Maybe I don't :(
But I know that it's important

I'm not sure if you read what I said earlier:

You hear wrong.

MOST
To be fair he did tell me about the exploit but not before using it on others within the PM system.

As for the bugmnot site it is a place where people can bypass registration in an attempt to remain anonymous when the cost of the information (or participation) is the loss of your anonymity. No matter how you try to spin it, it is a website that condones theft of services monetary or otherwise. The cost of admission here in Halo maps is an email address and username and the sense of personal responsibility that goes with them. Bugmenot absolves people of their responsibilities and only cowards and thieves will use it.

And less we forget: wmclan.net did not always have fake registration information.

Dount stop trying to be right and stop correcting people!

i find this quote wonderful. im not going to spend the time explaining to you in a 3 point mini essay why its such a funny quote, instead im going to respect your wishes and sit this one out with an undetectable shred of hope that you can understand the humor in your quote without me dictating it to you.

People are only considered Cyber Terrorists if they hack into company servers and networks, intercepting private e-mails, projects, etc. Hacking an Internet forum is nothing compared to what I have seen.

the key word here is hacking. no matter what kind of hacking its still hacking and that makes him a cyber terrorist

no, people, do research. what he did was exploit a forum glitch. what basically happens is that when you send a pm, you get a cookie. an internet cookie, you know? well you can use the cookie to get a person's password apparently. its not hacking. its just a glitch exploit, like a BXR in halo 2.
