ok, i rethought this so its less complicated :
I want a map for machinima which is "Saving Private Ryan" style with a beach landing/rock-
dotted field and where u assault a bunker/fortress with heavy weapons and tanks/artillery for
the assaulting team, and mounted MGs and other vehicles for defending team (only human
weapons/vehicles)
maybe random explosions programmed outside the base to make it look like artillery fire
old idea (still up):
I've talked to a lot of friends on CE about a cool map idea, and many people I know agree with this: What we want, is a Bunker/Fort style map with a beach (think D-Day) or some open terrain with rocks and trees dotting it.
OpsY had started a cool-looking fort from like HaloWars or something, and TLS Stronghold is another example. Even something like H3 High Ground would be awesome. Just something for Assault games or CTF.
Bunkers, towers, walls, gates, etc. Slit-windows, Pillboxes, MG nests. I suppose a Gate capable of being opened/closed would be too unbalanced, although unfair, it would be more realistic if the switch was only on the inside of the fort. I suppose a well armored Pelican could easily slip past and open, but he would just get shot and the door would be closed again.
It would be better if it was more realistic though, like only two Entrances (man + vehicle) would be awesome, and no damage or tunnels leading in (fine, maybe one or two) but basically walled, with towers or other stuff, one main gate (openable) with heavy defenses, and some buildings inside, amd in the middle, a base (flag)
and either snipers, MG turrets, or Kingfish999's lil portable MG (which rips through your armor in about 0.8 seconds....) would be useful as defensive.
Most vehicles would be inside (hangers, launch bays, roads, etc) but a tank or two, and a few hogs, would be given two the attacking side for support (tank would be like artillery, or cover fire, unless some1 could add like a stationary cannon(s). and the attackers would get rockets, snipers, and other stuff to make it easier to attack. oh, and some pelicans
and the terrain would be flat or sloped with trees and rocks scattered here and there to provide cover for the assaulting team, or maybe a beach like Normandy. and their base would be a lil far off, out of range from the fort. Teams would switch between attacker/defender.
I'm thinking a rush assault, intense, bullets flying here and there...basically picture the opening scene for Saving Private Ryan. and the weapons are realistic and powerful, as i said maybe like Kingfish999's stuff.
