I might make the vehicle tag for it, but that doesn't mean I'm releasing it to everyone on these forums.

If I do make a vehicle out of it, I sure the hell am gonna need a skinner. UVs and crap are not my thing...

Make the elephant faster and it'll be like a land pelican. That would be interesting to see in custom campaigns.

Hmm, a giant elephant going fast that can run people over and has a chaingun, smart.

I think of the Elephant like a super-enlarged tank.

Tanks go slow, and the Elephant should go even slower. If it went faster, woo boy that Elephant would be on crack.

That is a real elephant, but it got high.

If somebody would, it would only be need to be done once. So, Keefers, find out "how" too, and rig it yourself. You could also use that knowledge to rig MORE vehicles in the future!

Well i can tag it except for the animations i don't use 3ds max and don't know if\how in gmax. so i really can only tag parts of it so i wouldn't know that much but i may try

Someone texture it and send me the model and uv/texture maps. I will make it into a drivable vehicle.

I understand the situation Hunter, but here's the reason why you're not getting proper credit given or the tag deleted:

All tags/models/maps/etc., once released, are not under your control anymore.

I know you know that, you just said it. But you can't seem to accept it. You have no control. Dennis assumes that every single user understands that once they release a map or tag or model, it is no longer theirs, so he refuses to take responsibility for things like this that are an obvious result of the tag or model or map not belonging to its creator anymore.

The people who take your models may be freeloaders, but unfortunately they are fully allowed to do that. Why would you release your model if you weren't prepared for things like this to possibly occur anyways? You want it to get used by the community right? Well, it did, just without proper credit. Oh well.

Long story short, I posted something about how to make AI follow you. Someone saw it, copy-pasted it and uploaded it to Halo Maps as a tutorial that they made without giving any credit whatsoever. I made the topic above, no one cared, I got over it. Sure, I was ticked off, but I just moved on.

You do not understand that I was almost completly texturing Hunters Elephant. I had it UV'ed by myself. And since I got robbed, all that is gone.

no, it was pure custom texture. secret project for the public.

i completely understand getting pissed about credit issues. when i try to show my model stuff off to new members or people at my school, all i get are doubters who say im wrong and what not. how many people did i give my visor bitmap to? im sure i can get at least 3 people to make a post saying "why yes donut, i did acquire a visor bitmap from you"
now, how many people actually have that bitmap? how many people gave it to their friends saying i made it? it doesn't bother me until it affects me directly. getting doubted by new members who, lets be honest here, can be quite ignorant (btw hunter, quite != quiet. not knocking you here, just pointing it out).
im sure a simple pm to dennis requesting that your name be put on the model page would have worked.
also recycle bin, do you understand ANYTHING about the court? theres not a snowballs chance in hell you would even get seen with a case like "he is taking credit for a model i made nonprofit"
i dont expect you to understand the legal system, but some things are just understood
i swear to god, if they sold common sense in those big toilet paper value packs there STILL wouldnt be enough to go around.
