Hey guys I recently got a program that will allow me to make tutorials. I was wondering if I were to do a 3DS max tutorial (or two) if there's anything in particular the community would be want to see.
If you would like to submit some idea post em so I can figure out what I want to do.

Thanks YakZSmelk

Edit:
Tools and Methods I'm planing on going over;
Box Modeling
Planer Modeling
Spline Modeling
Cut Tool
Chamfer Tool
Connect Tool
Combining Objects
Materials
Material IDs
Smoothing Groups
Proper Topology

Any particular type of weapon? A Covenant weapon might be neat to do.

doesnt matter, i just want to learn plane modeling. it didnt work for me before, and the beretta 9000 tutorial made me angry because i could see that the guy modeling it was wasting triangles in places, so that tutorial that everyone throws around really didnt do me much good

I might work with an environment first, I feel you use more tools with environments and frankly I think they are more fun to make. Also my goal is to teach the tools not so much a specific object model, this way all users on this site have a better understanding of the tools within max and how they use them. I found most of the tutorials on the site not much help.

Modification tab (that scroll-down thing) and animating.
Explaining differences between Meshes and pollies

Modeling Covenant bases, ships, anything covie. We need more covenant stuff.
Working with a reference.

- Those are my Requests.

Camstudio allows you to record your desktop for free see: http://sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio/

My comp is cut off from the net or i would have messaged you on xfire for some things but this would be a great addition to the Modeling community!

Basic modeling tutorials as well as advanced tutorials would be good additions to the website and help the new members learn to make maps. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

What is Proper Topology?

Topology is the 'flow' of your wireframe. I'll make an example.

The community needs 3ds max tutorials but we need more advanced gmax ones all the more. I would highly consider showing off gmax as well, there are many things it has that i never seen a tutorial cover. advanced gmax ones are needed. I know you can make neat things in gmax its just harder as it lacks some tools.

why not do both.

I'm just trying to get an idea of what problems Halomaps users are having.

one issue, im looking at a bullet very similar to that right now (and i mean im holding a .223 caliber live bullet) and i can tell you the top of the casing where the bullet comes out of, the bullet itself needs to be bigger. there is too much room on the top
