No its not possible. If it is show me proof, and dont just give me BUT ITS POSSIBLE WITH OPEN SUAWZE!!!111, becuase im sure you don't even know how it works. And until someone does it or has proper documentation on how to do it.

wat teh feck, i did that a long time ago without open sauce, didnt exist back then.

last time i mentioned it was in the asp thread i think, all in all i already developed the method - not much gameplay impact and useless waste of effort (ye you dont like effort inorite)

just drop the nade subject, its not gonna add much gameplay, flame nade wont look that good in h1 anyways, and the spike nade is basically a plasma nade.


andah, i retagged mai hud to teh h3 folder, just have to finish the ammo meter redirecting and other minor stuff - yuknow

The only reason your complaining is because bp made it. The hud is extremely accurate and will look good with the rest of the map.

You know CAD, he won't ever give out his stuff. I have yet to see anything released that really helps the community except for the scripts for random campaigns.

He actually released several maxscripts that help animators out a lot.

1 - Scripts for not random campaigns, but the original campaign, allowing people to freely modify the campaign, and add in new twists, without creating campaigns just like the original one.
2 - Halo 2 sounds. Coag and sanctuary were protected, but they left the sounds unprotected.
3 - Scripts for animating, such as one that creates overlay and moving animations, and another that sets up IK points on the wrists.
4 - Ideas. You could argue that this doesn't count, but CAD has inspired me and probably others many times. Firefight would not have started if it wasn't for him, because his points system is what got me thinking, and made me realize "hey, I can do that". He also told us his concept behind the fp legs script.
5 - Backpack weapons tags. He released the tags and the scripts. This may not be very major at first, but the scripts included was what taught me how permutations worked in scripts.

your talking about old stuff that he doesnt care as much about while there talking about new stuff that he might use for a project and what not.

He was stating that he never gives his stuff out. I was stating that he does. He's released plenty too. And who knows, maybe he would let Grunt use his hud for something like this. You have a 50/50 chance, and it never hurts to try.

Without the maxscript that exports animation, anyone using Max9 or higher, wouldnt be able to export animations.

can you explain what you did? it doesnt matter if it adds anything to gameplay or not. youre claiming that you did something that nobody else has been able to do, then passing it off as if it doesnt matter. can you show us how / tell us what you did what you did?

Yeah, that's called being lazy, which animators really can't afford to be.

It'll give your weapon a unique feel if you make your own overlays and moving animation, rather than using ones that makes it feel boring-old Halo 1 style.

Compared to other games Halo's overlay system is really ugly, save for moving animations..

I never use overlays. They move way too slowly.

Yeah, I know it's more rewarding, but I was only using that as a example to show that he has released helpful content.
