hey guys i was wondering if anybody can help OR make a tut on how to make a halo ce map WITH EVERY DETAIL cuzz i having alot of trouble with making my 1st map for halo ce..>CAN ANYBODY HELP ME????

There are plenty of good tuts on this site. For getting the basics of making a map i would say watch HaloGuru's "making a map" tut and watch Geometric Geek's tut and watch Yapyap's tut also (but dont put grenades in the starting equipment)

then watch firedragons modeling tuts as well as kirks modeling tuts and that one by ragged productions.

Then when you know how maps work you can go to tutorialized.com and learn the details of modeling in max.

Everyone always has something to say about search. something never in the favor of the one on the other end though...

i don't quite trust search engines with important things. you need to know to use them right.

well anyway, i don't know how half the people here get full versions of Autodesk products other than Gmax. i suppose some people do put alot of work into this, but people like me have two programs at their disposal:

Gmax and Blender. neither of which do i have any hard experience with...

personally, i know. i wanted to jump right into the game but when i got discouraged about it, it was for good reason. so i backed down and i think zig zagged and outside of the box. though my plans may be big and over my head, i started small: with a modified warthog. havent started it yet, but its alot smaller in the big picture. i might become the halomaps legend of creativity. though alot of people here are EXTREMELY creative - you need to be on the creative side just to get anywhere areound here. that and somewhat computer inclined.

I understand. I got errors for 3 months before I finally got a map ingame. Look at "compilation" in the official HEK tutorial to learn what the errors mean. Once you know that, fixing them should get a lot easier.
EDIT: It also isn't the tutorial that's getting you errors. Thats all common errors new mappers get tons of. That said, even I have trouble with errors, and i've been mapping for over a year.

Using a search engine is the perfect allegory to life itself. You have to know what questions to ask to get the right answers.

The search engine on Halo Maps is highly specific where you will only find information about Halo CE. You could easily just browse the tutorials or map lists but apparently even that, attention spans what they are, is too difficult for people to do.

i diagree. The search engine is tooled to relate to specific halo ce things, because it is limited to the halomaps domain. other than that, though its all just opinions, ive gotten nothing out of search. i search something, i get ten pages of discarded and forgotten maps, and maybe two things retaining to what i wanted. i personally would rather browse the archives which have been cleverly sorted. but thats up to whoever is looking. search engines are something, and they are great, but they are ever difficult to use.

but these are all just opinions. and you got me about attension spans...
