Ive been thinking lately, and I was wondering if spawning with different weapon sets is possible. I know that setting random permutations of starting equipment is impossible. So i was wondering if a script along these lines would work:

a continuous loop and Boolean variable for each player that runs like this

if the player reaches 0 health set Boolean to true.

if the player is at 100% health and Boolean is true, spawn the items at their position and set Boolean to false.

So would this work, or not? Also,

The starting equipment would be set to nothing, so they pick up the spawned weapons automatically.

Don't forget that you have to get rid of the biped's weapons, because if there's no starting equipment, the game refers to the biped's weapons for the starting weapons. The only problem with that is that only one weapon will be picked up automatically, since you can't pick up a second weapon automatically in multiplayer.

But, you actually can randomize starting weapons, so you don't have to worry about scripting. The way you randomize it is by having the starting equipment block refer to "item_collection" tags with more than one weapon tag reference. The game randomly picks one weapon within the "item_collection", so there's the random spawn.

oh, thanks, i didn't realize that. Another question I have is:

can you attach weapons to scenery and vehicles, and have them easy to pick up?

I have done vehicles, you can just make them come out the taillights as a function switch. You would have to make your own scenery to9 have that do it. Why not make a gun that shoots weapons out , lol....

reminds me of an idea someone had about a decoy gun. when fired, a biped was spawned. though i saw problems with the decoy.
