No, I don't have a picture of a bubble shield to show you.

It's a idea concerning it, that I had recently. I'm not sure if I'm the first to have it, but I doubt it, with all you smart people out there.

Well, in Halo 3, the bubble shield is basically transparent with the edges of the hexagons blurred, yes? A blurred effect similar to the active camouflage blur.

If there was any way to harness the active camouflage refraction, and apply it to a bubble shield model, it would look fairly good.

I've looked hard, and I haven't found any way to do it. But I am definately not the smartest tagger, nor the most effecient searcher. So there might be a way.

Just an idea.

its a good idea, no doubt, but i dont think theres any way to apply the camo to it unless you make the bubble shield a biped

...camo only looks good with windows vista. On xp, camo shaders are impossible to see directly through... which screws the whole thing up =/.

You could just change the refraction in globals so it's more see-through.

Even if you made the bubble shield a biped, how would you get it to pick up the active camo? CAN a biped pick up active camo? Like, say you put down a biped in sapien, put down a active camo powerup in the same place, would the biped pick it up ingame?

The only problem is that everyone would either need a ATI card or that Nvidia patch for you to see the camo effect properly.

I'm pretty sure bipeds can't pick up power-ups. Only players can pick them up.

I'd rather go without than take what you'd bring.

You mean this camo effect?

I have an Intel card and I can see it.

ya, my camoeffect doesnt work any more, does any one know how to fix it? It currently looks like the model just went semi transparent. I have an 8800GTX, wth intel quadcore... aka a nice comp. How do I get the camo to work right again.

Try changing the target from:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\hce.exe"
to
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\hce.exe" -Use20

Note: Your video card must have 256MB memory or more.

Its because you are using a Nvidia card. It only looks right on ATI cards, or if you get DXTweaker. (Click the link I posted if you want to see)

Hold on, Patrickssj6 made a tutorial for nVidia cards to see Camo, let me find it...

Edit: No, didn't find it. I'll look later.

On the bubble shield topic, I'm trying to make it a biped, to see how it'll be.
