What does wind do in maps and how does it affect the game? I see it in maps, but does it do something?

Ah

I thought that was an animation.

Would that be why when sometimes I create a map without wind, the flag's handle shows, but no actual cloth flag? Only when I pick it up, then it shows.

if there is precipitation, the wind makes it move

So if there isn't wind, it'll fall straight down?

That belongs in another thread. Go start one asking that question.

As for Wind, can it be made that certain vehicles like Jets (As seen in Coldsnap, Hugeass, Etc.) can give "wakes" of Wind from certain nodes, same as where their engines are? So a jet screams by a flag at low altitude and the wake of wind sends the flag into a chaotic flutter?

I'm not sure about that, though even if it's just a minor thing, it'll make halo much more realistic.

Anywho, is it or is it not possible, do you think?
