ok so basically i tried putting lights into my level, but when i tried compiling it tool gave me some really wierd error message that i cant even remember. after some fiddling i ended up adding the material for my lights onto the one for my water as a sub material.
now it compiles fine, but when i get to sapien, it puts the shader for the water onto the lights :S so i tried putting in a third sub material onto another object and that works fine.
so to sum it up i have two problems.
1. tool will only compile when i put everything into two multi-materials (idk if its me or some kinda restriction on tool)
2. its putting the wrong shader onto my lights when i get it into sapien (ID1 is water! ID2 is lights! ???)
any advice?

man I hate multi sub objects. peopl say that they are easy, but I dissagree. Mine never work. I make amulti sub object and aply it to my entire map, thinking I could make different parts have different material IDs and therfor different materials, but they don't even show up, and it sais they have no names, etc. If you have less then maybe 6 or 10 materials in the map, I would use regular standard things.
But, then again, I've only been doing this for a couple of weeks...
