OK so i added AI into a map and added spawn points and move positions. When they spawn, they don't go to the move positions, but just stand there. Is there some script i need to add in order to make them move?

command list. It's pretty self-explanatory. You choose commands from a list and add them, along with points. I have no idea what move positions does.

In the AI spawn points, there's a section below that you can assign a command list for each one.

OK thanks. I have one problem though. I wrote a command telling the ai to go to a point, and assigned it to the ai. I checked the spawn points and i am certain they were assigned that, but in the Sapien game window the ai wasn't moving to the designated point. Is there something im doing wrong?

You need to close it(sapien) and open it so the command works. Edited by Dark Ninja on Jul 10, 2008 at 11:57 PM

Move positions only work if you have set either "initial state" and "return state" to one of the moving selections. Also, once you have placed the move positions, you must save & exit, then reload it. This is because the move positions need to be registered with either the BSP or Scenario. Until you do so: "Hey uhh, dude? Yea, you, the one looking at me through the sapien game window. Wheres that move_position_block you told me to go to? I don't see it." - Pvt. Jenkins
==================
Command lists are more complicated than move positions. You have to assign a point and setup various settings.
For example, if you want to make a solder go over the hill and stop, you have to assign a point and disable initiative.
0: initiative disable - Disables the AI ability to say "No, I'm not doing that." 1: targeting enable - Allows AI to target & fire at enemies while executing command lists. 2: go to (p0) keep_moving ALTERNATIVELY 2: go to (p0) stop_at_point
To get it to repeat look for the loop command:
5: loop to #3 always ALTERNATIVELY 5: loop to #3 only until told to advance Edited by MechWarrior001 on Jul 11, 2008 at 05:17 AM
