Sorry to bother, but can someone tell me or post a tutorial on how to make "Fences" in 3ds Max? It shows how to in Llammamaster's tutorial, but it just happens to stop playing right before it. This is what I mean by fences- Any help would be greatly appreciated.

its not part of the model, but a bitmap, with the fence bitmap and an alpha, applied to faces that will be the fence. what the alpha does is, tells where stuff will show up, and how much. a fence bitmap will have the metal grates on the RGB channels. but on the alpha, white will showup where metal is, and black where there are holes. and the texture will have the transparent shader symbol.

I don't really know what an Alpha is. I'll play around with what he said some more to see if I finally get it.

An Alpha map is a picture with black and white on it. Black means 0 and white means 1. The places on the picture with white on them show up when rendered and the places with the black are see throu. If you have white lines on a black background, it will seem like a fence. I'm not the greatest at explaining these kind of things so you should probably Google it. Alpha maps are kind of important in game design.
