This is how to get a sentinel laser in h1, all you need is all dev. It's a fun thing to do.
First, like in the video, turn on freeze time. Kill all enemies expect for 1 sentinel. Now unfreeze. Now kill the last one. Before it hits the ground and explodes, freeze. Now it'll say "press e to hold <insert string entry here>" Press e. Now you have it. There are no 1st person weapon view, or melle for it, but you get an effective unlimited laser. This is for halo 1 retail edition, or if you want to, try it in custom edition.

Done it before, you could also have bump possessed the Sentinel.

Well you can bump possess the sentinel, but wouldn't you rather use it as master chief?

Yes, but in larger levels (Two Betrayals) it's nice to fly around and snipe people with it. You did the right thing, using it as the Master Chief in a smaller level. Though, sometimes I'm just lazy so I bump possess.

I didn't know that could happen. Would it also work with the sword in Halo 1 PC?

i dont think this will work unless the biped has the animation lables to hold the weapon

Only if you bump posses a gold elite, or killed it, froze, possessed another elite, and took it.
And you can get into a wraith in h1, but can't get out. Bump posses an elite, freeze and get in the wraith. Then obviously unfreeze or you can't drive. If you don't freeze, and elite will already be in it. And you might have to go a little far in the level to find one that spawned.
I've done all this before, but if I found a vid it'd be easier to show how.

I have. First time I was introduced to dev and I trained myself how to use it on The Great War. There is where I found out how to bump possess and use other such cheats/hacks. Possessing elites though, is annoying. Since not all the time they jump up and slash, and not all the time do they strike.

Well there is a robot vehicle in Coldsnap, but I don't think it can be remote controlled.

As much so as I respect your opinion, Coldsnap wasn't exactly made for gameplay (or so I've heard). It was really only made to show basic scripting and what not. Things like holding the grenade button to open the Mythos door, as well as vehicle teleporters, and homing fuel rod guns on the ghosts.

Pretty much, yes. I don't know how it became so popular, probably because of the custom vehicles.

'K' freezes, and 'L' unfreezes. I forget which hotkey is bump though, it says on the program.

In bold is WRONG. You can bump posses and elite with a sword, but you can't attack unless you go up close to a marine or other HUMAN and then you will have an auto-hit function. And you can even wield 2 weapons as an elite and switch. In h1 most aliens can wield a lot of weapons. I've given jackals PRs, and Needlers. The elites can also have Plasma Pistols, and for some reason (idk why), the only human weapon that can be wielded by the covenant is the human pistol, which can be wielded and used in battle by an elite. Try switching around with bump possession. And I think you have a crouch and slowly walk through checkpoints.... works for me.

thats because the human pistol uses same animations as the plasma pistol
