After seeing the video above , think about how the community is today. Think about what you have learned or want to learn if your a mapper or aspiring mapper.

When browsing through these forums , i often see that forum users are not reminded of the mappers and teams that came before them , and have made CE what it is today. People that have gladly given up their free time to expand what modding once was , and in some instances , help the community learn new and interesting things to advance it as a social interactive network , in which people can learn and have fun at the same time , weather it be in a mapping team , or maybe just mapping for their own entertainment.

So , the purpose of this thread , is to remind you all of those people that have made this community what it is , not in any specific order , but they are all mentioned.

Nitro & H2CE : By far the most famous CE modding team of all time , Nitro lead this team to create custom content all replicas of H2 by hand , along with members such as Lightning (Expert Texture artist) and MrsDoublefire , Nitro and Doublefire now work for Bungie testing and creating minor scenery things for Halo 3 last we heard from them , they created the one map which can be said truely defines what Halo Custom Edition is , "New Mombasa Classic".

Kornman00 : Expert in what he does , H4x , Korn has worked on project Yellow and various other things during his time in the CE community and serves in the army last we heard from him , he works on many things too 1337 to be spoken of infront of normal forum users :P

Seraphim & MCE : One of the oldest teams going , Seraphim works on the Metroid mod , and has done for ages , assisted by a horde of different people including Tiamat , and Kirby.

MotherGoat : One of the best map designers in CE , has even had interviews with Bungie , known for creating his map pack which he also released with Neuro.

CMT : Once known for creating H2 stuff that was ported (ripped) , and lead by Masters , CMT is a long running team that has seen its ups and downs , and has managed to create some interesting and great content.

Zteam : Best loved for ripping H2 Stuff and recreating it more accurately for Halo CE , Zteam creates some of the nicest looking H2 content you will ever see on CE.

Dennis : Everyones fav web admin , hosts the only website to house almost every single CE map ever created , leaks or otherwise , with his seemingly never ending bandwidth its always appreciated to have Halomaps around for hosting everyones content.

Steelix : Responsible for a number of different maps , and other custom things , Steelixs most famous for creating the HEK+ program , capable of ripping content from maps for personal use.

SomeRhino : Created the map lost cove early in CEs Development , truely a nice sight to behold when playing , a classic map full of fun.

Arteen
: Known for creating various Halo inspired maps , mostly of Forerunner design Arteen knows how to mix art with gameplay when it comes to making maps themed around Halo rather than any other custom inspiration.

Tiamat : Best known for Coldsnap and Hugeass , 2 of the biggest maps in CE history , Tiamat has helped so many teams and people its unbelievable , alot of people flock to CE purely because of Hugeass and Coldsnap.

DocOctavius : Well loved , for creating C3LL and Claustrophobia , one of CEs most loved small deathmatch levels , has contributed alot to the community , aswell as creating some of the nicest looking maps such as , Red Feather Ranch , Valis , and Dead End.

Jahrain : Best known for his Zelda levels , Jahrain started his Zelda mod after the joke post about Zelda levels , and went on to create a full custom mod , which was noticed by alot of games review sites , and mags , he is a radical supporter of open source content , and his best maps include , Chronopolis , Mystic , and Hyrule field aswell as these , hes also known for his custom chief model which is released for everyone to download.

Llatsin : Creator of Outpost Rio , one of the many fav medium sized maps avalible to the community for download , it was used as part of Dennis`s machima series.

Super Sunny : Sunny is best known for how much he smokes , just kidding , Sunnys maps are a sight to behold , looking very trippy and having lots of various lighting effects on screen at the same time , Sunnys apparent claim to fame is his Music playlist which is full of various tracks that inspire him to create wonderfull and wacky effects.

Crispy : Most famous for the map Fissure falls , just one of the many old favs that people have downloaded.

Knave : Knave first brought light to ripping before HEK+ was released , he created alot of H2 ripped content which gets reused to this day , aswell as working with Masters at one point , Knave worked on alot of other projects , and released alot of material , all of Knaves content can be found in his map , Ruined Pain.

Caz : Caz is the only one to this day , to create a working version of the E3 Demo of H2 , in CE , done to the finest of detail and using Knaves tags that were ripped and modified , Caz made his debut with his map , Cityscape.

Eric Lamuthe : Eric aspired to create his own SP series of maps , what we got , was some of the craziest content ever to grace CE , all locked away in his map Series called "Area"

Ice Tiger : Every time someone trys to get a Mech working in CE , they remember Ice Tiger , the only one ever apart from Tiamat to get a Mech working ingame , it even had power rangers music! , Ice created alot of interesting content , but sadly left the community after the release of his best map "Pipe Dream" which features his Mech , based on a Mech Warrior Mech Design.

NeuroKoNeza : Neuro is possibly one of CEs best modelers , and he holds this title very successfully , he has helped alot of teams in his time including H2CE , And Mothergoat , one of his best maps is No Remorse , a small Zanzibar themed level.

EJ Burke : EJ Burke did not do much work up till his major release , and that release made CE history , his map Portent , is one of the best looking and playable maps , CE has to offer , if you have time , download it , its well worth the download , aswell as Portent , EJ worked on Launch Bay , a huge POA styled map which is home to a Longsword.

FireDragon : Most noted for his very helpfull tutorials , but also for his mapping style , Firedragon has created alot of Forerunner style maps , and has been a very big help to the community , his tutorials are easy to follow and can get you mapping in no time flat , they are hosted here at Halomaps!.

Yoyorast : No one can forget Yoyo , the crazy guy who has possibly the most original and craziest map design in all of CE history , yup you guessed it , Yoyorast island , that crazy map full of twists turns and ramps , one of CEs most famous maps.

Kirby : If you could give someone an award for "person to help the most people in the community" Kirby would get it instantly , Kirbys helped more people in the mapping community , and more teams than you can count on any of your limbs combined.

SonicXtreme & SMT : I cannot forget my own team , we have been working in CE aslong as Seraphim and the Metroid team , and have seen our fair share of ups and downs , and are still working on one of the many anticipated mods Halo CE has to show case.

Above are just a few people and teams that i decided to talk about , mainly because they stand out as giving the most to CE , in terms of Help , dedication , and great content , sure there are other people out there that pop up every day like Dan0 , and other people that do great work , they deserve their own praise too , but this thread was really a dedication to all the old teams and mappers really , that have seen Halo CE change alot of times , never forget these names , as they have contributed alot to what your a part of today.

Maybe add a part to the description saying how cheap it is to buy and possibly a link to where you can order it like Dennis usually does.

And yea, Guru should be on there, hes helped so many people, especially me.

I know everyone of those people listed cept for SomeRhino.

I'm old, I was around for the H2CE maps. Those maps were fun. New Mombasa ftw.
Also, old GBX was fun.

backwoods would have been awesome if not for the collision with the rock, that pretty much ruined it's gameplay.

yay! I make people relive kindergarden by making them use there arms and legs to try and solve all their problems lol.

I think a few of the mapping teams should make some HCE aniversery map every year at the time that HCE came out O.o We can put in a monument to all the old mappers and their achivements, and how far they have come. Now, time for me to google up HCEs origenal release date lol.

Ok golden oldies covered mostly

but what about fresh talent?

I have seen quite a few people really bloom in halo ce.

for example iron clad, someone who i consider a friend on the forum. But i remember he started off doing this asteroid mod, about the same time i was also doing a mod. But from that he really started doing alot of different stuff, fp rigging, and he really just became more. I like seeing some of the people who used to do a little, now do a heck of alot more.

Seems he's taking a long, well deserved break...you see, he's still here, he just doesn't map, he plays a lot of COD4 and halo ce RP

Nope. He's working on the AirTroops clan map.

i purposely did not include any recent teams , and i even talked to Doan , until his team gets some content released , they wont make it into the list purely because their content is unfinished and unreleased atm.

As for Patrick , and anyone else , i was typing this up with only the older members in my mind , so i included them only , anyone else more recently , obviously everyone already knows about.

No. Kiwi was a cool guy and was very funny at times, but he didn't really contribute anything. this thread is about great mapmakers. kiwi wasn't a mapper, just a forumer. and only the noobs worshiped kiwi.

I've played a few matches in Halo CE where someone named Tiamat logs in. I know its fake, but if it is him, he sure is a JERK!

The level was an RPG Beta. I accused him of being fake, and he was like "Omg, your such a noob!!!! BAN BAN BAN!" All I did was say it once. (He couldn't ban me though, because he wasn't leader) Then, nobody believed it and he left the game. I've seen him often on these maps, and he just repeats these routines.
