hay guys wazz up? now iv been diddling and daddling with modeling a character for the last 3 months or so and i finally made a descent looking character which im quite happy with, the reason for this topic is to how i am and hopefully improve and find out what you think about it (so give me your opinions) and tell me ways in which i can improve and i know there is lots of stuff that i can improve on with this model.lets get this out of the way this is a low poly character and im not that good with smoothing :P but im getting there bit by bit so bear with me.if you know of any good character tuts do send them to me though iv probably seen most of them but anyway send a link if you wish.

Umm. Wut is that? His hands remind me of 4 bit sqaure characters you see in old games.

No. Football players are tall and have Real muscles. Thats an americal football player. Skinny as a twig and wears 200 foot thick foam pads and is a wekling.

no lol he isn't a football player his just a normal character with a t shirt and shorts and the amount of faces he has is 1632 and 824 polygons. does any one know how much poly halo characters will take? that way i can work off a amount of polys and make it look good.
and does this look better __napalm__ ?

Halo maps can use up to 10,000 polys. Your guy is barely the size of MC's polys.

Things you need to fix:

1. Head is REALLY small.
2. If you want him to be low polygon keep his hands the way they are, but cut out a finger and position the hands as if they're sort of holding onto a gun.
3. Shorten the fingers.
4 What's up with his outfit? Is he some kinda baggy gangster? I rarely see anybody wearing fluffy clothes, especially men.
5. Maybe put some planes in a hairstyle for texturing, or model the top of his head as if he had a flat top haircut. It would make more sense for somebody in the military.
6. His arms are long, fix that.
7. His feet are itty bitty. What is he, a size 4?
8. Y'know what, just re-do the feet. Normal feet in shoes aren't flat and small if you are a grown man.
9. His pelvis is very small, which gives him a tiny back-quarters.
10. May we see a wireframe? From the looks of it, it won't be able to get rigged because it may be missing some key parts on a biped that make it move right.

Other than that, keep up the good work. I can see your modeling career going somewhere.
