My map needs two bases, but i don't know when to put them in: during modelling my map or in sapien. Can anyone tell me when?

well depending if you want it part of the bsp or a scenery object. a base thats part of the bsp is better beacuwse its easyer to add spawn points and stuff to it but a scenery one is less work... so you can choose but if i had the cance and time i would connect it to the bsp.

Also I think BSP is more reliable than scenery for some connection reasons having to do with the real time aspect of scenery

I would connect the model to the BSP after you do your cliffs.

make sure ur base has no bottom. then just jamb it in where u want it then delete the surrounding faces that intersect with it and then make new faces which connect and seal in the base and level.

Or you can do it the lazy way and just stick the base onto the ground and link it to the frame. thats assuming the bases are separate objects as the BSP. but you should do what maniac says and not be lazy.

did you model the base yourself or is it downloaded? and yes it is different. put the base where you want it on the cliffs and delete the faces around it on the cliffs and the ground. make sure the base has no faces on the bottom and back of it. create new faces attaching from the ground to the bottom of the base, and new faces connecting the cliffs and the back of the base. that should do it.

you know, the polygons? the stuff that you select when your in editable mesh in select face or select polygon. they turn red when you select them. they are connected by the blue vertices at the corners, and divided by edges, which are the white lines.
